We are less than one week away from the 2014 Emmy Awards.

In anticipation of the August 25 ceremony, we've been asking readers to vote on a number of categories, from Best Drama Series to Best Comedy Series.

Now, we continue to focus on the world of comedy and highlight the leading men who make us laugh on a daily basis, from a downtrodden comic to a fictional version of Matt LeBlanc played, of course, by Matt LeBlanc.

Here's a look at the six nominees for Lead Actor in a Comedy.

2014 Emmy Race: What Should Win Best Comedy Series?

A bunch of brainiacs. A downtrodden comedian. A clueless politician. A bunch of inmates. Some computer geniuses. Or one diverse family.

These archetypes represent who will be competing on August 25 for Best Comedy Series at the 2014 Emmy Awards.

Will a CBS rating juggernaut take top prize? Will Netflix once again prove its a major television player? Or will HBO pull an upset?

FX Confirms Fargo Season 2, Louie Season 5

FX kicked off its Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour session in news-breaking fashion today:

By renewing a pair of TV Fanatic favorites.

First, FX and MGM Television have confirmed that Executive Producer and Writer Noah Hawley will move forward with a second installment of Fargo, as a new chapter will air in 2015, replete with 10 episodes and an entirely new story.

"We could not be more proud of Fargo,” said FX CEO John Landgraf. “Noah’s audacious, bordering on hubristic riff on my favorite Coen brothers film earned 18 Emmy nominations – the most for a single program in our history. Fargo was nothing short of breathtaking and we look forward to the next installment."

The network will also bring back Louis C.K.'s unique comedy for a fifth season.

"Louie’s fourth season was once again groundbreaking. Sometimes hilarious, sometimes heartbreaking – always thought provoking,” said Landgraf. “The show went to narrative and cinematic places no comedy has gone before and we look forward to seeing what Louis comes up with next."

Look for seven new episodes to air next spring.

Louie has been nominated for five Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Lead Actor Comedy (C.K.), Writing, Directing and Casting for a Comedy Series.
