FX was the latest network to take to the Television Critics Association winter press tour, and the panel for Legion came with the exciting news that Legion Season 2 will debut in April!
That's a little later than many expected, but it's not too far away.
In addition to the premiere month being confirmed, creator Noah Hawley revealed that Navid Negahbanis is replacing Said Taghmaoui as Ahmal Farouk.
Yes, that's the Shadow King. If you watch Legion online, you will know he was the villain who immersed himself in the psyche of David Haller.
With the villain being out in the open, there's no telling just how terrible things will get for the characters when the show returns.
Aside from the Legion goodies, FX CEO John Landgraf confirmed that Fargo Season 4 is pretty much a go and that it all came down to Hawley's availability because of his schedule.
“Noah, who’s become quite a busy bee, not only with Legion [but with novels and features, too] has told us that he has an idea, which excites me enormously, for a fourth cycle,” Landgraf told reporters. “The plan is to have that ready for 2019.”
Given that Fargo is one of the most critically acclaimed shows around, the news is hardly surprising. It was always a matter of the availability of the creative forces behind it.
Finally, Landgraf was quick to point out to reporters that Better Things will continue to flourish without the influence of Louis C.K.
He noted that he had "extraordinary confidence" in co-creator Pamela Adlon continuing the journey alone.
“It’s Pamela’s show,” he confirmed. “These are her stories. This is her life. Louis was her co-writer. She’s going to have to write them all herself or find another co-writer. I’m optimistic and confident that the third season will be great.”
Okay, TV Fanatics. What do you think of all this news?
