Getting stopped, interrogated, or arrested by cops usually isn't anyone's idea of a good time unless the sheriff's and detectives are like the ones we've seen on television.

You know, the caring ones who look damn good in a uniform. Most of the TV cops on this list solve crimes, take down the bad guys, and keep their fictional towns and cities safe from danger. Not to mention, they'd jump in to protect you without hesitation.

We wouldn't mind getting arrested by these men and women in uniform, just don't get on their bad side unless your goal is to end up in handcuffs.

Budd – Bodyguard

Budd, a veteran of the British Army, has years of training, is loyal to a fault, and would risk his own life to protect yours. Plus, he's not opposed to getting involved in a physical relationship with the person he's been tasked with protecting.

Dr. Henry Morgan has been dying and coming back to life for the past 200 years, but the television series on which he's been doing it will no longer give him the chance to keep on living.

ABC has opted not to renew Forever for a second season.

Royal Lineage - Forever
(ABC)

Star Ioan Gruffudd's wife took to Twitter on Thursday night to share her feelings. "Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but ABC decided tonight not to renew FOREVER for a 2cnd season. It's brutal, but that's show business." And again, "Ioan is a little shaken right now but he wants to reach out and thank the wonderful, loving fans who made the whole experience so magic."

Other shows to be canceled by ABC include Cristela, Resurrection and The Taste.

In case you missed it, the Forever Season 1 finale aired tonight. I know, I know. Thank goodness for DVRs we can set so we never miss our favorite shows when networks yank them all around on the programming line-up, right?

Forever Season 1 Episode 22 saw Henry Morgan go head to head with his adversary and arch-nemesis Adam. Henry emerged victorious, and the battle was not without some bloodshed.

Let's ignore the fact that the very, very, VERY rare dagger Adam was searching for just happened to end up in New York City in a random rare artifact collection in a museum. And let's also forget that Walter Bishop is a rare weapons expert who also dabbles in the diaries of Josef Mengele. (Seriously. Let's ignore those parts.)

We now know that Henry is, in fact, immortal. Adam's theory that the original weapon which killed them is the only one which can make sure they stay dead proved false as Adam shot Henry during their duel in the subway tunnels. Oh well. It was a good theory.

I had a few theories of my own as to how it would play out with these weapons.

Maybe they would turn to ash like Mother Gothel as she falls from the tower in Tangled leaving nothing but their personal effects behind. Nope. Maybe they would be reborn a single time and from that life they would go on to live a normal, mortal life. Nope.

We just have two immortals here on Earth for eternity and one of them is now trapped in some sort of paralyzed state thanks to Henry Morgan's exceptional syringe skills.

When Henry whispered "I'm not a killer. I'm a doctor!" I sent out mental high-fives in his direction. He's not a killer. He doesn't have it in him to do that and I love that no matter what Adam has had to say about how easy it is to become a killer, Henry has remained steadfast in his resolution not to go there.

Truthfully, it doesn't seem hard for him to stay away from killing people, but give him another 1800 years on the planet and things might get a little dicey, you know?

The dagger quest wasn't even the biggest part of the night. That came in the form of the Will-He-Won't-He drama with Jo.

Jo's a smart woman. She knows Henry's keeping secrets from her and he knows that she's starting to mean more to him than just being a good friend. However clunky the setup for those two has been, and yeah, it's been super clunky, this isn't a secret he can keep from her for eternity. Given how erratic he sometimes seems, it might be a good idea to clue her in, you know?

Now that Jo has found the photo of Abe, Abigail, and Henry from the 1940s, the question we might never get to answer is, "Will Henry tell Jo the truth?" Unless this show returns, we're left to our imaginations about what, exactly, transpired after the credits rolled.

Did Henry spill the entire story for her, starting with his father becoming a slave trader and his volunteering to go on a ship as a doctor only to sink the entire operation and ending up immortal? Or did he just say, "yeah, so, I can't die and that's why I like to swim naked at random times," only with more Henry Morgan finesse?

The fact that we might not ever find out what he said and how she reacted is maddening. I can only hope that we'll get at least a partial season to wrap this up. We need to know if Jo accepted his story with as much grace as Abigail did once upon a time or if she's going to shut him out and that will be the main storyline for Forever Season 2.

Throw us a bone, ABC. Do it for the fans!

If not, I suppose we'll have to watch Forever online in order to console ourselves with the absence of Ioan Gruffudd from our lives.

What did you think of the season finale of Forever? Did Henry finally break down and tell Jo the truth? How will she react? Sound off in the comments below!

Could this be Henry Morgan’s final death?

With an episode titled “The Last Death of Henry Morgan,” it would seem that Forever Season 1 Episode 22 could find out hero – who just happens to be unable to die – finally meeting his maker.

We’ve been waiting all season for a final showdown between Henry and Adam – and, based on what series star Ioan Gruffudd told me last week, this could finally bring the end of Henry Morgan.

However, will Henry finally tell detective Jo Martinez about his secret, as well as his feelings for her? What will we learn in the flashbacks? And how it was for the actor to work with Sleepy Hollow star John Noble, who appears in the finale?

Let’s dive in and find out how Forever Season 1 will wrap up…

Forever Season Finale Scene
(ABC)

TV Fanatic:  How would you describe the flashbacks in the episode because I know we learn some more about Abigail?

Ioan Gruffudd: We’ve been alluding to the fact that Henry’s immortality is a painful existence and the last episode we certainly showed that Abigail’s disappearance was her way of dealing with his immortality and trying to protect to his immortality [and] protect his secret. So it was terribly heartbreaking and terribly heartbreaking to shoot it as well because I absolutely loved that relationship. It’s just been there, a beautiful, beautiful relationship throughout the season.

TVF:  Watching the show all season, I can’t help but wonder how has Henry stayed sane all these years with everything he’s gone through?

IG: Yeah, when we meet him at the beginning of this season, I don’t think he is dealing with it very well. He’s locked away in his work. He’s brusque, he’s a bit over-confident and arrogant and a bit dismissive of some of his peers and colleagues and when we met him in the pilot, he’s a bit of a womanizer but just to the point of enjoying himself rather than actually falling in love with anybody. He’s very strict not to do that.

TVF:  How would you describe what we see with Jo in this episode because it seems like Jo has been kind of getting closer and closer. Do you think Henry’s going to have to finally get to a place where he has to fill her in on everything?

IG: I think that’s what we’ve done in this finale. We’ve set it up two episodes ago when Jo burst into the antique store and didn’t go to Paris. I mean there was a moment there where we all thought that Henry and Jo were going to proclaim their feelings for one another and in the finale, we flip it on its head because Henry is caught between protecting the secret and protecting Jo at the same time and it becomes a real turn off for Jo. We turn that whole relationship on its head because inevitably we’ll be skirting very close to the secret being revealed.

TVF: I was really happy to see John Noble in this episode. How was it having him in the show for this episode in kind of a key role too?

IG: It was a terrific catch to have him come and play that part because he’s such a wonderful actor and such a presence as well on screen. We really give credence to that role that he had in the finale. This is somebody who’s mixed art collector. He’s kind of like that Montgomery Burns character on The Simpsons. He’s eccentric and has a lot of money and lives sort of closed off from society as it were but has this great love for Roman architecture and Roman sort of artifacts, and of course, he’s convinced himself that there is some truth to the psyche of immortality.

TVF:  We’ve all been waiting for this final confrontation with Adam. How was it for you as an actor to finally get to this point where you guys really get to face off?

IG: Yes, we do. We’ve been so back and forth, and to and froing, and finally, as you said, we get to have our standoff and I think Henry gets the upper hand and more through anger and emotion than having better judgment. He’s very clever in a way…it was a lot of fun to play with Burn [Gorman, who plays Adam] because he’s such a terrific actor and has such a terrific screen presence. I think we had a lot of fun together shooting this episode.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STXoEwzDm74

TVF:  Do you have a favorite death of Henry’s because you died several times this season. Do you have a favorite one?

IG: I kind of loved the brutality and the generosity of Adam early on in the season cutting Henry’s throat so to protect the secret from Jo. That was pretty cool. I loved the scene we did in the past where the priest in the cell with Henry, believes Henry and helped him kill himself and go to see the truth about Henry and his immortality by hanging him in the cell.

TVF:  We’re waiting to hear about a second season but would you say that the season does get wrapped up or do we get a little bit of a cliffhanger?

IG: I think with all good television shows, I think we cleverly wrap up the season and the themes and the subjects that we’ve touched upon during the season. I think that’s important for an audience to know that there’s a future for the show with new stories and new avenues to explore but we also want to leave them salivating and wanting more.

I think what’s wonderful is we leave the show open-ended absolutely but it’s not in such a physical dramatic way as many shows do with big fireworks and explosions and gun shots or whatever it is or somebody having damages hanging over their head. We do it in a very simple way that leaves your jaw on the floor.

Forever Season 1 airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on ABC.

A museum curator finds an ancient dagger tucked inside a crate as Forever Season 1 Episode 22 begins. She ends up dead under a tunnel and Lucas shows up to help Jo and Hanson solve the case since Henry is nowhere to be found. He and Abe are busy burying Abigail.

Abe advises Henry to think of the good times he and Abigail shared together which prompts Henry to remember the vow they swore to protect each other. Henry swears vengeance on Adam for taking Abigail's life.

When Henry and Jo examine the victim's office, he learns that the woman had discovered a dagger which could prove useful in killing Adam. Henry clues Abe in to Adam's theory about the weapons which can kill them and Abe locks the pistol in a safe so Henry doesn't have access to it.

The dagger for which Blair Dryden was killed is believed to be linked to the death of Julius Caesar. Blair's boyfriend admits to getting his best man to mug his fiance in the park in order to sell the knife and tells them where to find his friend. Adam has already been there but the dagger was already gone. Adam warns Henry to stay away.

Abe tells Henry not to let rage cloud his judgment when it comes to handling Adam. Henry decides to steer the investigation away from the dagger, but Lucas blows his plan by finding a connection between the two murders. At the museum, Henry discovers that a security guard had something to do with the deaths.

When the security guard appears to have a heart attack while in custody, Jo suspects Henry had something to do with it and learns that he's on a hunt for the dagger. The guard sends Henry to the collector they spoke with earlier in the investigation and Henry learns that the dagger was used by Nazi doctor Josef Mengele. Mengele kept a diary about his experiments on Adam and the collector is fascinated with the story. Jo arrives and takes the dagger from Henry.

Henry enters his basement lab to find Abe guarding the safe with a gun. He realizes that even if it means Jo will hate him, he has to get the knife in order to protect her. Lucas has helped him retrieve the weapon from evidence lockup and Henry heads into the subway to deliver the knife to Adam. Jo is on his tail but he loses her when he goes under the tunnels.

Henry tosses the knife to Adam and tries to walk away but Adam has his gun. He fires a shot which draws Jo into the tunnels and then shoots Henry so that he'll either die or have his secret discovered. Henry expires but not before stabbing Adam in the neck with a syringe. Jo finds only Henry's pocket watch in the tunnels and Abe is waiting for Henry to resurface.

Jo returns Henry's pocket watch and a picture she found of him, Abigail, and Abraham in the 1940s. She asks for an explanation and Abe urges Henry to tell her the story.

Sweeps week begins in a big fashion and we have quotes to memorialize it.

Starting with a quote from one of the most beloved characters in television history, Derek 'McDreamy' Shepherd recalls his first kiss with his beloved Meredith on Grey's Anatomy. Pass the tissues. Again!

Another Shonda special, Olivia realizes she and Jake should have just stayed away from the madness on Scandal. Klaus mentions the obvious on The Originals as only he can. A hilarious line is found from The Odd Couple, which otherwise delivers little enjoyment. Will wonders never cease?

Elsewhere, Norman gets funny on Bates Motel, Eddie gets inspirational on The Flash, Xo's ironic on Jane the Virgin, Felix tells it like it is on Orphan Black and Hayley's smitten with her loved ones on Modern Family.

Henry, a man who pledged forever – literally – to finding out what happened to his wife, finally got some answers on Forever Season 1 Episode 21.

Those answers were hard to digest, no doubt, but also provided closure for both Henry and Abe.

"The Night In Question" was an excellent installment of this fledgling series. My only wish is that it had come earlier in the season.

The trouble with Forever isn't Ioan Gruffudd. It isn't Alana de la Garza. And it certainly isn't Judd Hirsch.

The trouble with Forever is that the network has treated it like the red-headed stepchild of Tuesday nights, airing it so infrequently and irregularly that viewers send up the praises of their DVRs on the weeks when it airs. Just last week I went downstairs with my laptop ready to work only to turn the TV on and find that Forever wasn't airing that night.

I know, I know. Silly of me not to know, right? But seriously.

Why is it so hard to air two (or three or four) episodes consecutively instead of jerking the schedule around so that no one can find the show? If this show fails, and let's be real, it's totally and completely on the bubble, it will be because no one knew when to tune in.

FYI: Forever Season 1 Episode 22 airs May 5th. Don't say you haven't been warned.

Rant aside, tonight was a great installment which not only filled in some of the blanks of Henry's life but also provided him with a decent amount of closure.

No longer does he have to wonder if Abigail fell out of love and left him, if she couldn't handle their age discrepancy in public, if she didn't want to let Henry see her as she aged, likely becoming dependent on him for her care. So she ran away. That seemed the easiest and most logical choice for her back in 1985, never minding the fact that leaving actually made both Henry and Abe feel as if they'd been abandoned.

It was touching to learn that Abigail had realized she couldn't live without Henry and wanted him to come live with her there in the cottage, growing flowers and being a nurse-doctor pair, dancing until their feet fell off. She died before she was able to see that wish come true, but she died saving Henry from one she believed meant to do him harm:

Adam

Adam was at the center of Abigail's death. (And Belinda Smoot's…)

He knew that Abigail knew something about Henry, but she opted to take her own life rather than risk exposing the love of her life to whatever it was Adam had planned.

Adam is a very neutral character, neither good nor bad. After all, he did TRY to help Abigail when she was dying in front of him. Lately, I'm starting to feel sort of bad for the guy. He wants answers and he wants not to be alone. Isn't that what we all want?

Now that Abigail's mystery has been solved, there's room for Henry to move on. He can finally put that part of his life behind him. He'll never forget Abigail but knowing she's gone will bring him closure.

This closure will inevitably lead him to Jo. I'm kind of excited to see that.

What did you think of "The Night In Question"? Does no one in that precinct believe in vacations? If you want to see the discovery of Abigail Morgain yourself, you can always watch Forever online!

Abe reveals to Henry that he found Abigail as Forever Season 1 Episode 21 begins. She assumed a new name and lived near them all these years. Together they decide to visit her last known address to get more information.

Hanson is shocked to see Jo at the precinct, and she is shocked to learn that Henry took a few personal days. She goes to Lucas to find out why Henry's gone and wonders where Abe's father is if Abe is looking for his mother's last-known whereabouts.

Henry and Abe drive up to an old house in the middle of nowhere and find Abigail's former landlord. Henry remembers the day they arrived in America fondly when he spies a flower Abigail planted in her landlord's yard. Henry finds a burial plot among the flowers. Jo shows up and brings the case back to the NYPD's jurisdiction.

When they get the bones back to the lab, they discover that the remains they found do not belong to Abigail Morgan but are the skeleton of a 20-year-old who was brutally murdered and buried there. Abigail's disappearance and the girl's murder are related since Abigail's keys were found with the skeleton.

When Henry and Abe open a box of Abigail's belongings, they discover nothing inside except tchotchkes. The body, however, had received medical care shortly before she died. Jo and Henry trace the girl's injuries back to the hospital where Abigail worked and find a nurse who remembers her. The nurses' memories lead them to a judge whom they believe killed her to cover up his part in a hit-and-run in 1985.

When the liutenant tells Jo to give the case back to Tarrytown, Hanson offers to stop in Westchester county to do more digging. Lucas shows up at Abe's with boxes of dirt from the woman's grave and Henry and Abe show him the basement lab. Henry finds a letter from Abigaill which she intended to mail but never did. While going through the dirt, Lucas finds a tiepin which serves as a clue.

Henry visits the judge again after recognizing the tiepin as his. He confronts Judge Graves and asks what happened to Abigail before being taken out by security. Jo picks him up from jail and demands to know who Abigail is to him that he's acting this way. She gets a phone call letting her know that Judge Graves has walked into the precinct.

He confesses to knowing Belinda since they were kids and to the hit and run. He maintains that he didn't kill Belinda but her boyfriend might have. Judge Graves delivers the medical file of the man he killed to the police, effectively turning himself in.

Abe finds Henry poring over the letter from Abigail and as they talk, Henry has a revelation. He and Jo drive to Tarrytown to search the root cellar where he believes they will find Abigail's remains. Henry finds a bloody Sheriff's uniform in the cellar just as the Sheriff shows up behind him. Jo re-enters in the nick of time.

The liutenant sends Henry in to interrogate the Sheriff so that Internal Affairs can't say they violated his due process. Henry walks him through the events of the night and solicits a confession. He also learns what happened to Abigail.

Get out the freaking room, Abe!

Jo was clearly getting ready to admit to Henry that she wanted to go to Paris with him on Forever Season 1 Episode 20. Abe walking in really ruined the suspense for everyone. I will admit that if she had confirmed her feelings to Henry, it would have been a little premature.

I actually enjoyed Isaac on the show, but he and Jo are from two different worlds. He is a very materialistic guy and all of his comments seem to link back to his life being so much better than the rest of the world's. Just how much is the guy worth?

If he's acting like that with Jo, there must have been many more before her, so I think she made a good escape. It was good that the show didn't make him some sort of killer – There's still time!

Speaking of me enjoying Isaac, I was actually thinking earlier that Jo and Henry wouldn't make a good couple. I feel like the chemistry we witnessed in the first half of Forever Season 1 has faltered and they now have a relationship that would just be weird if they became romantically linked.

It could ruin the whole dynamic of the show, but I guess we'll never know until it inevitably happens.

The case of the week was interesting, but it wasn't without its flaws. I don't know if this is just me being skeptical, but I called Ava being the mastermind behind all of it the moment I realized that she was alive. That was all planned and I'm actually very surprised that Henry didn't click on to all of it much sooner. You're meant to be smarter than this, Mr Morgan!

The whole scene about lovers leaving notes on the statue made me cringe. Maybe that would have happened almost 100 years with Valerie, in Paris, but in the technologically savvy world of today, it wouldn't hold up. There'd be an app for that!

It was a good move to let Ava have her fame. There really was no evidence and since Javier accidentally killed himself concealing the truth, that was the only plausible way out. She reminded me of Jill from Scream 4; the chick who planned all the killings to achieve worldwide stardom.

The world of ballet sure is cutthroat; from being sponsored by the Russian mob (LOL), to having your foot chopped off just to be famous. It is amazing the lengths people will go to in order to be famous.

The normal one liners from Abe were notably absent this week. This is probably because of his search for his mother. The pairing of him and Lucas was a slick move. The two characters together were excellent. It should be interesting to see what became of Abigail and if she is really alive.

"Best Foot Forward" was good. Sure, there could have been some more realism to the case, but I knew we were long overdue for some flaws after a strong string without.
