The 2020-21 Broadcast TV season is one of the most unique seasons in recent memory.

With TV shows starting much later, airing with bigger breaks in between episodes, and some shows still unaccounted for, there is much debate about what will actually be on the air next season.

Ratings are down across the board, and some shows are in danger because of things like contract negotiations.

Have a look below at our list of which shows are renewed, canceled, and in limbo. We'll also speak about their prospects for renewal.

Bobby Looks Back - 9-1-1 Season 4 Episode 1
(FOX)

9-1-1 – FOX – Certain Renewal

9-1-1 Season 4 is down almost 20 percent in the demo this season, averaging a 1.1 rating along with 6.8 million total viewers.

As has been the case for its run to date, the drama is a force to be reckoned with in delayed viewing.

It's a matter of when, not if it will be renewed. It's FOX's highest-rated and most-watched scripted show.

That counts for a lot when it comes to these decisions.

Hero in Charge - Tall - 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 2 Episode 8
(Jordin Althaus/FOX)

9-1-1: Lone Star – FOX – Certain Renewal

9-1-1: Lone Star Season 2 took a hit by moving to the later slot, but it's holding up fairly well.

5.7 million viewers and a 0.9 rating out of the parent series is decent enough to stick around, especially in today's TV climate.

Like its predecessor, it builds a lot in delayed viewing, so expect a renewal soon.

A Sinister Secret - The Simpsons
(FOX)

The Simpsons – FOX – Renewed

The Simpsons is averaging 2.4 million viewers and a 0.8 rating in the demo.

That makes it the network's highest-rated comedy and third highest-rated scripted series overall.

It will be around for as long as FOX wants it and could potentially move to Hulu or Disney+ when FOX no longer sees the value in renewing it.

Great North Photo
(FOX)

The Great North – FOX – Renewed

It may not be as buzzy as the other animated series on the network, but it's holding up well.

2 million viewers and a 0.7 rating is decent for any network these days.

That shows how far the broadcast networks have fallen.

Feeling Underappreciated - Family Guy
(FOX)

Family Guy – FOX – Renewed

The series stopped being funny years ago, but it still makes money.

It has been renewed with its 1.7 million viewers and a 0.6 rating.

How long will the show stick around?

Potential Fatherhood?- Tall - The Resident Season 4 Episode 9
(Guy D’Alema/FOX)

The Resident – FOX – Likely Renewal

The Resident Season 4 is averaging 3.7 million viewers and a 0.6 rating in the demo.

Yes, it's down in the demo, but most shows are.

The positive is that it's FOX's third highest-rated drama and does well in delayed viewing.

Call Me Kat Premiere Still
(FOX)

Call Me Kat – FOX – Could Go Either Way

This remake of the hit UK comedy has been a decent performer.

It lost a lot post-premiere but managed to stabilize quickly. It ultimately averaged 2.6 million viewers and a 0.6 rating.

Its future will hinge on what FOX plans to do with comedies next season.

Santa - Bob's Burgers Season 11 Episode 10
(FOX)

Bob's Burgers – FOX – Renewed

A Bob's Burgers movie has been in the works for some time, so it makes sense that the series is sticking around.

It is averaging 1.4 million viewers and a 0.6 rating.

Not great, but not terrible either.

Bless the Harts
(FOX)

Bless the Hearts – FOX – Canceled

It's down almost 50% year-to-year, but FOX has a thing for lower-rated animated series.

The 1.3 million and 0.5 rating put it on par with some of the network's other animated series.

The network officially swung the axe in April 2021.

Eve Comes Home - Last Man Standing
(Michael Becker/FOX)

Last Man Standing – FOX – Ending

The Tim Allen-fronted comedy is wrapping up after 9 seasons.

It is down almost 40% in its final season, averaging 2.6 million viewers and a 0.5 rating.

Not great, but the show is ending on its own terms, which is always good.

Crime Scene Stroll - tall - Prodigal Son Season 2 Episode 8
(Phil Caruso/FOX)

Prodigal Son – FOX – Likely Cancellation

The move to Tuesdays has not been good for this serial killer drama.

It's averaging 2.2 million viewers and a 0.4 rating.

Unfortunately, these numbers probably won't be enough to keep it around into 2022.

One of Their Own - LA's Finest
(Erica Parise/FOX/Spectrum Originals/Sony Pictures Television)

LA's Finest – Canceled

LA's Finest Season 1 was an inexpensive acquisition, but Spectrum canceled the show after two seasons.

It averaged 1.8 million viewers and a 0.4 rating.

FOX could air the second season, but it won't be back for a third.

Dinner and Daggers - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 10
(Skip Bolen / FOX)

Filthy Rich – FOX – Canceled

The soapy drama was delayed from its original launch as the network navigated a pandemic era.

It averaged 1.6 million viewers and a 0.3 rating.

Not good enough to continue.

The Moody Siblings
(FOX)

The Moodys – FOX – Certain Cancellation

Many people probably don't know this limited series is even back on the air.

The two-episode season premiere averaged just 1 million viewers and a 0.3 rating in the demo.

Unless it miraculously doubles in the demo, it won't be back.

Gina Encounters Trouble - neXt
(Sandy Morris/FOX)

neXt – FOX – Canceled

The high-concept thriller failed to get much traction after a huge delay.

It averaged 1.2 million viewers and a 0.2 rating. These numbers would be great for The CW, but not FOX.

Hey, at least it got an ending.

Back to New York/Tall - Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 1 Episode 1
(NBC / Virginia Sherwood)

Law & Order: Organized Crime – NBC – Certain Renewal

Christopher Meloni's return to the franchise got fans talking.

The first episode made it NBC's most-watched and highest-rated series.

It started with 7.9 million viewers and a 1.6 rating and could drop a lot to even be considered a tossup.

Mandy Moore Returns - This Is Us Season 5 Episode 13
(NBC / This Is Us)

This Is Us – NBC – Renewed

The NBC juggernaut is way down in the ratings this season.

It is averaging 5.9 million viewers and a 1.1 rating. It is already renewed.

The next season is likely it for the series.

Casey troubling path - Chicago Fire Season 9 Episode 10
(Adrian S. Burrows Sr./NBC)

Chicago Fire – NBC – Renewed

Chicago Fire remains a solid option for NBC.

Averaging 7.3 million viewers and a 1.0 rating, it is still one of the network's most-watched scripted shows.

It will be around for the years to come.

Discussing A Patient - Chicago Med Season 6 Episode 11
(NBC / Elizabeth Sisson)

Chicago Med – NBC – Renewed

This hit spinoff is pulling in ratings on par with its parent series.

Averaging 7.5 million viewers and a 1.0 rating according to most recent results, so it's no slouch in the ratings.

It has also been renewed.

Partners in Life - Chicago PD Season 8 Episode 11
(Lori Allen/NBC)

Chicago PD – NBC – Renewed

This beloved series continues to pull in decent numbers in a difficult slot.

6.2 million viewers and a 0.9 rating is where we're at for the current season.

It's renewed. Hooray, right?

A Missing GIrl/Tall - Law & Order: SVU Season 22 Episode 10
(NBC / Virginia Sherwood)

Law & Order: SVU – Renewed – NBC

It's NBC's only series to rise year-to-year.

Currently averaging 4.2 million viewers and a 0.8 rating, it is another solid performer.

Yep, already renewed!

Young Rock Series Premiere Photo
(NBC)

Young Rock – NBC – Likely Renewal

This comedy was a big swing for NBC.

It's averaging 3.4 million viewers and a 0.7 rating, but it will come down to NBC's comedy needs next season.

It should be back.

Must. Save. Vance. - Manifest
(Peter Kramer/WBTV/NBC)

Manifest – NBC – Likely Renewal

The series moved to a new timeslot this season and kicked off with ratings on par with its previous season average.

It's doing 4 million viewers and a 0.7 rating.

The series has always been a heavy hitter in delayed viewing, so expect much more from it.

The Kenan Show - NBC
(NBC)

Kenan – NBC – Could Go Either Way

The series is averaging 2.6 million viewers and a 0.5 rating.

While this isn't terrible, it loses a considerable chunk of the audience and demo from Young Rock.

It's on the bubble for renewal or cancellation.

Ted Danson and Bobby Moynihan
(NBC)

Mr. Mayor – NBC – Renewed

This Ted Danson-fronted comedy drew critical praise but average ratings.

It had 3.4 million viewers and a 0.5 rating for its freshman run.

NBC rewarded it with a renewal, so it must like the delayed viewing figures.

Floyd on the Phone - tall - New Amsterdam Season 3 Episode 7
(Virginia Sherwood/NBC)

New Amsterdam – NBC – Renewed

This Ryan Eggold-led medical drama is down double-digits this season.

It was off the air for a long time between seasons, so it makes sense.

But it's averaging 3.9 million viewers and a 0.5 rating and gets a lot of viewers post-airdate, so it's in good shape.

Already renewed.

One Last Name Tag - Superstore Season 6 Episode 14
(Trae Patton/NBC)

Superstore – NBC – Ended

After six seasons, NBC pulled the plug on Superstore.

Its final season averaged 2.3 million viewers and a 0.5 rating.

Probably the right time to end it, right?

Bash Blames Himself For Dr. Bishop 2 - Transplant Season 1 Episode 13
(Yan Turcotte/Sphere Media/CTV/NBC)

Transplant – NBC – Renewed

This Canadian import pulled in respectable ratings (3.5 million/0.4 rating).

Expectations for imported shows are not as high.

The series was a moderate success.

Stand Down - Debris Season 1 Episode 7
(James Dittiger/NBC)

Debris – NBC – Likely Cancellation

Jonathan Tucker's return to the small screen will probably be short-lived.

This new drama is doing 3.1 million viewers and a 0.4 rating — losing a lot of its lead-in in the process.

Unless the show is a breakout success in delayed viewing, it could return, but the odds are stacked against it right now.

Zoey and her powers - Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist Season 2 Episode 9
(Sergei Bachlakov/NBC)

Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist – Could Go Either Way

The series has never been a heavy hitter, but 2.1 million viewers and a 0.4 rating is not good.

The two most recent episodes have slumped to just over a million viewers and a 0.2 rating.

NBC has been open about the series being a digital success.

With the critical acclaim, it could be back, but if the ratings don't tick up I'll be losing hope in the next few weeks.

At Cross Purposes - The Blacklist Season 8 Episode 12
(Will Hart/NBC)

The Blacklist – NBC – Renewed

This Friday drama is averaging just 3.4 million viewers and a 0.4 rating.

It remains profitable for the network through international sales and, of course, delayed viewing.

Could it be heading into its next season? Yes, but we should never count the series out.

A Plan - Good Girls Season 4 Episode 5
(Jordin Althaus/NBC)

Good Girls – NBC – Likely Renewal

In its fourth season, the series is doing 1.5 million viewers and a 0.4 rating — not great, but it was enough to get renewed last year.

The series has a lucrative deal with Netflix and actually topped the streaming charts a few weeks ago. There's an audience for this, but it doesn't watch live.

It should be back.

Annie - Connecting
(NBC)

Connecting… – NBC – Canceled

The series was charming, but viewers were over the Zoom-produced content pretty quickly.

It averaged 1.5 million viewers and a 0.3 rating.

The Day Was Won - Nurses Season 1 Episode 10
(Ken Woroner/eOne/NBC)

Nurses – NBC – Could Go Either Way

As a cheap acquisition, 2.3 million viewers and a 0.3 rating is not bad.

But NBC could probably do better, so I only expect more episodes of this to make it to the U.S. if there's another shortage of content next season.

Other than that, it's probably toast.

Giving Up Surgery - Tall - Grey's Anatomy Season 17 Episode 11
(ABC/Raymond Liu)

Grey's Anatomy – ABC – Could Go Either Way

This is a tough one. Grey's Anatomy Season 17 feels like the end.

The series has slowly been bringing the arcs full circle and Ellen Pompeo's contract is up.

Recent episodes have dipped considerably in the ratings, but it's still averaging 5.5 million viewers and a 1.1 rating.

This will probably come down to the wire, but I wouldn't be surprised for it to end this year or get a truncated final season.

Immigration Status - Station 19
(ABC)

Station 19 – ABC – Certain Renewal

Yes, it's down, but 5.5 million viewers and a 0.9 rating is decent.

The series is newer than Grey's so the production costs are not as high.

If Grey's ends, many of the characters could move over, so there's no reason to expect this one to go this year.

Go Big - The Goldbergs
(ABC)

The Goldbergs – ABC – Likely Renewal

The comedy is averaging 3.6 million viewers and a 0.7 rating.

It is still a decent performer, and it's hard to imagine ABC wanting to end it without a pre-planned conclusion.

It will probably be back.

Dan's New Job - The Conners Season 3 Episode 14
(Eric McCandless/ABC)

The Conners – ABC – Likely Renewal

This Roseanne spinoff has lost a lot of ground in recent ratings.

But 3.7 million viewers and a 0.6 rating is decent. Unless the final few episodes of the season fall apart, it should be back.

Do you still watch?

Ready To Investigate - Big Sky Season 1 Episode 10
(ABC/Darko Sikman)

Big Sky – ABC – Certain Renewal

The series may feature bizarre twists, but for a 10 p.m. drama, the numbers are solid.

3.9 million viewers and a 0.6 rating is decent for any show in that slot in this day and age.

It also gets a substantial boost in delayed viewing.

Feeling Disconnected - The Good Doctor Season 4 Episode 13
(ABC / Jeff Weddell)

The Good Doctor – ABC – Certain Renewal

The slippery slope in the ratings continues, but its latest drop is on par with the rest of ABC's slate.

4.3 million viewers and a 0.6 rating leaves it in good standing for a renewal.

ABC might want to move it to a new slot next season, however.

American Housewife Season 5
(ABC)

American Housewife – ABC – Could Go Either Way

ABC has some big decisions to make and marginally rated comedies are continually on the bubble.

3 million viewers and a 0.6 rating is decent, but it will come down to the network's comedy needs.

The show is getting more expensive due to its age.

Revealing the Truth - A Million Little Things
(ABC/Jack Rowand)

A Million Little Things – ABC – Likely Renewal

Yes, the series is down quite a bit.

On Thursdays, it's averaged 3.3 million viewers and a 0.5 rating.

The big test will be whether those viewers follow it to Wednesdays.

Things Get Competitive - black-ish
(ABC)

Black-ish – ABC – Likely Renewal

This series has been a decent performer for years, and it's down only slightly this season.

It is averaging 2.5 million viewers and a 0.5 rating.

Not bad, and ABC will probably keep it around for at least one more season.

One Rookie Left - The Rookie Season 3 Episode 9
(ABC/Eric McCandless)

The Rookie – ABC – Likely Renewal

The sporadic scheduling is not doing the show any favors. It's down 25% year-to-year, but it's also on Sundays, a much tougher night.

It is currently averaging 3.7 million viewers and a 0.5 rating.

It should be back.

In Charge - mixed-ish
(ABC)

Mixed-ish – ABC – Could Go Either Way

This black-ish spinoff is down quite a bit, averaging 2.1 million viewers and a 0.4 rating.

ABC might want to keep the two shows together, but if that isn't the case, the series will probably get the boot.

Would you miss it?

Call Your Mother ABC
(ABC)

Call Your Mother – ABC – Certain Cancellation

It looks to be another one-and-done for Kyra Sedgwick.

This comedy series is averaging 2.5 million viewers and a 0.4 rating.

It will not be back, unfortunately.

Waiting Game - For Life Season 2 Episode 10
(ABC/Giovanni Rufino)

For Life – ABC – Likely Cancellation

The series is great, but the numbers are not.

It is currently averaging 1.8 million viewers and a 0.4 rating.

It's hard to imagine it returning.

Bonding Time - The Equalizer Season 1 Episode 6
(Michael Greenberg/CBS)

The Equalizer – CBS – Renewed

This update starring Queen Latifah is averaging 9.8 million viewers and a 1.5 rating in the demo, becoming the network's top-rated scripted series.

It snagged an early renewal for Season 2.

It's a lot of fun!

An Explosive Package - FBI
(Michael Parmelee/ 2021 CBS)

FBI – CBS – Renewed

Yes, FBI was the beginning of a big franchise for CBS.

The series is averaging 7.9 million viewers and a 0.9 rating in the demo — right on par with last season.

There's a lot of life in the franchise yet.

Home Projects - NCIS Season 18 Episode 11
(Bill Inoshita/CBS)

NCIS: – CBS – Renewed

NCIS should be a certain renewal, but with Mark Harmon's contract up, there's no telling what could happen.

It is averaging 9.7 million viewers and a 0.9 rating.

The ratings spell renewal, but there's a lot more to consider with such a long-running show.

UPDATE: Renewed

The Neighborhood Cast
(CBS/Bill Inoshita)

The Neighborhood – CBS – Renewed

This hilarious comedy has been a bright spot for CBS on Mondays.

It is down a little this season — averaging 5.7 million viewers and a 0.8 rating.

But it is the network's highest-rated comedy so it has been renewed for next season.

After an Accident - Young Sheldon
(CBS)

Young Sheldon – CBS – Renewed for Three Seasons!

This spinoff of The Big Bang Theory is down quite a bit this season.

It is averaging 7.3 million viewers and a 0.8 rating, but CBS still believes in the value of the franchise.

It has been renewed for another three seasons.

Bob Hearts Abishola - CBS
(Sonja Flemming/CBS)

Bob Hearts Abishola – CBS – Renewed

This sophomore comedy has held up well out of The Neighborhood.

Most recent results put it at 5.3 million viewers and a 0.7 rating.

It will be back next season.

Making Amends - Mom
(Robert Voets/CBS)

Mom – CBS – Canceled

This long-running comedy got canceled earlier this year.

It is averaging 5.1 million viewers and a 0.6 rating.

It's unclear whether the finale will feature much closure due to the cancellation coming as a surprise.

Julian McMahon of FBI: Most Wanted Season 1 Episode 19
(Michael Parmelee/CBS)

FBI: Most Wanted – CBS – Renewed

This spinoff of FBI softened considerably in its second season, but in the 10/9c slot, it still packed a punch.

It ultimately averaged 5.8 million viewers and a 0.6 rating.

CBS has ordered a third FBI-set series, so it's making another franchise.

Finding Anna - NCIS: Los Angeles Season 12 Episode 14
(CBS/Screen Grab)

NCIS: Los Angeles – CBS – Likely Renewal

CBS has made some questionable decisions this season, but the Los Angeles-set spinoff of NCIS should be back.

It is currently averaging 5.6 million viewers and a 0.6 rating.

We'd be surprised if this one is let go this season.

United States of Al CBS
(CBS)

United States of Al – CBS – Could Go Either Way

This freshman series averaging 5.3 million viewers and a 0.6 rating through two episodes.

But the true test will be where it lands in a few weeks.

What are your thoughts on the show?

Lil' Slow Dancin' - Tall - 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 2 Episode 9
(Jordin Althaus/FOX)

B Positive – CBS – Could Go Either Way

This freshman comedy is averaging 4.9 million viewers and a 0.6 rating.

It was moved to a new slot recently and numbers have slipped.

If it can recover, it could be renewed, but it also could go the other way.

Stopping a Murder - Magnum P.I.
(Karen Neal/CBS)

Magnum P.I. – CBS – Renewed

With CBS canceling several long-running shows, MacGyver has hardly been a breakout performer.

It has dropped double-digits this season to 5.6 million viewers and a 0.5 rating, with ratings on par with the canceled MacGyver.

Do you think it should be back?

UPDATE: Renewed

Abigail Is Attacked - Blue Bloods
(CBS Entertainment/John Paul Filo)

Blue Bloods – CBS – Renewed

The series is aging and CBS has been known to end these shows without pre-planned final seasons.

Blue Bloods is averaging 6.4 million viewers and a 0.5 rating — not bad for Fridays.

But the network has been picking up a lot of shows recently, including a CSI revival, which could be a part of a revamped Friday sked next season.

This one is on the bubble … for now.

Update: Renewed

An Unknown Sniper - NCIS: New Orleans
(Sam Lothridge/CBS)

NCIS: New Orleans – CBS – Canceled

The first big cancellation of the season was NCIS: New Orleans, which is averaging 4.8 million viewers and a 0.5 rating.

Given that CBS is working on NCIS: Hawaii, this cancellation was inevitable.

Will you miss it?

A Possible Murder - MacGyver
(Fernando Decillis/CBS)

MacGyver – Canceled – CBS

This was a head-scratching cancellation, for sure.

The series is not that old and regularly wins its slot. It is averaging 4.8 million viewers and a 0.5 rating.

It's unclear whether the series finale will be a conclusive ending.

Career in Jeopardy - SEAL Team Season 4 Episode 11
(Sonja Flemming/CBS)

SEAL Team – CBS – Could Go Either Way

The series has continued to drop this season.

4.1 million viewers and a 0.5 rating is not strong, and CBS could probably do better.

But then again, several shows have already been let go this season. Unless CBS is cleaning house, it might snag a pickup.

Lola Helps Ness - All Rise
(CBS)

All Rise – CBS – Likely Cancellation

All Rise is in a precarious position. It is not fully owned by CBS, and is down quite a bit this year.

It is averaging 4.2 million viewers and a 0.5 rating in the demo. It had considerable buzz last season, but it all seems to have disappeared after a lengthy hiatus.

It's probably toast.

Freedom of Speech - Bull
(CBS)

Bull – CBS – Renewed

Every single time we rule Bull out, it returns.

The series is averaging 5 million viewers and a 0.5 rating.

It is aging, but it does well internationally, which could clinch a renewal.

UPDATE: Renewed

Starting To Fade - The Unicorn
(Sonja Flemming/CBS)

The Unicorn – CBS – Likely Cancellation

It was once a bright spot in its Thursday slot for CBS, but the numbers have fallen this year.

3.6 million viewers and a 0.5 rating will probably not be enough to stick around.

There are much better offerings for the network.

S.W.A.T. Father closeup 4x12
(Bill Inoshita/CBS)

SWAT – CBS – Renewed

3.2 million viewers and a 0.4 rating. Need we say more?

CBS is not going to want to keep the series around unless it makes them a lot in other revenue streams.

For now, it's toast.

UPDATE: Renewed

Difficult Case - Clarice Season 1 Episode 7
(Brooke Palmer/CBS)

Clarice – CBS – Could Go Either Way

EVIL didn't do much better last season and CBS kept it on the air.

Clarice is averaging 3.3 million viewers and a 0.4 rating.

It's not in good shape, but it could be nurtured into a hit with some more promotion and a better timeslot.

Worried About Twin - All American Season 3 Episode 9
(Robert Voets/The CW)

All American – CW – Renewed

The Netflix effect continues to help All American.

In its third season, the series is averaging 0.8 million viewers and a 0.3 rating — the network's best showing in the demo.

(Bettina Strauss/The CW)

Superman & Lois – CW – Renewed

This new direction for the Arrowverse has been a breath of fresh air.

(Rebecca Brenneman/The CW)

(Dean Buscher/The CW)

(Dean Buscher/The CW)

Kung Fu – CW – Likely Renewal

This reboot has improved the Wednesday at 8/7c slot considerably.

It launched with 1.4 million viewers and a 0.2 rating. Hopefully it holds up.

It's in good shape for now.

Trouble - Supergirl Season 6 Episode 3
(The CW)

Supergirl – CW – Ending

Six seasons is a decent run.

The hit superhero drama is averaging 0.7 million viewers and a 0.2 rating.

It ends for good later this year.

The Harsh Reality - Riverdale Season 5 Episode 10
(The CW)

Riverdale – CW – Renewed

This once-hot series is averaging 0.5 million viewers and a 0.1 rating.

It has always been a strong digital performer.

It will be back for Season 6!

M.G. Solves Crimes - Legacies Season 3 Episode 10
(Kyle Kaplan/The CW)

Legacies – CW – Renewed

This spinoff of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals may be geared towards a much younger audience, but it's not doing well in the ratings at all.

0.6 million viewers and a 0.1 rating is not good.

Thanks to The CW looking at more metrics than live ratings, it has been renewed.

A Hero Rises - Batwoman Season 2 Episode 1
(The CW)

Batwoman – CW – Renewed

The series said goodbye to Ruby Rose and hello to Javicia Leslie.

Like most CW shows, the ratings are down. Season 2 is averaging 0.6 million viewers and a 0.1 rating.

It has been picked up for next season.

A Troubled Past - Black Lightning
(Kyle Kaplan/The CW)

The series has never been a heavy hitter in the ratings and has dropped 40% season-to-season.

It will end with its current fourth season.

A Painkiller spinoff remains in the works.

Nancy and Grant - Nancy Drew Season 2 Episode 12
(Colin Bentley/The CW)

Nancy Drew – CW – Renewed

The CW hosts full seasons of the series on its streaming service.

It has been renewed and a spinoff is in the works.

The Power of Three
(WB)

Charmed – CW – Renewed

This reboot has been dipping on Sunday nights.

It is averaging 0.4 million viewers and a 0.1 rating — down 50% in the demo.

It has been renewed, but the network is moving it back to Fridays to see if the ratings pick up.

Santa has a list, he's checked it twice, and he knows exactly which TV characters were naughty or nice. And this bunch was definitely on the naughty list!

'Tis the season for everyone to do their best to convince Santa that they’ve been on their best behavior all year.

But Santa can’t be fooled. He has a list, he's checked it twice, and he knows exactly which TV characters were naughty or nice.

2020 was a tough year for all of us.

But for every character that deserves a nice Christmas gift is a character who has been so bad that all they should get is a lump of coal under the tree.

Murder, corruption, kidnapping, jealousy, and even hero complexes have landed all of these characters on Santa’s naughty list!

You Season 2 premiered towards the backend of 2019, but Joe and Love were so bad that they truly deserve to be on every naughty list until the end of time.

As Joe's body count continued to rise, Love was revealed to be equally as crazy. And the fact that these two are about to become parents doesn’t excuse their stalker-ish and murder-ish behavior.

Even with Love by his side and a baby on the way, Joe has already found his next obsession for You Season 3: the neighbor next door.

You can blame most of the crime in Gotham City on the one and only Alice.

She's a cold-blooded killer who rarely shows any remorse on Batwoman Season 1.

Not even her family is spared from her wrath and paranoia. She has killed her step-mom and the Commander’s wife, Catherine, double-crossed her “brother” Mouse by poisoning him, and hatched an elaborate plan to kill her very own sister Batwoman/Kate Kane.

Choosing - Batwoman Season 1 Episode 20

Charmaine was insufferable on Virgin River Season 2. She let her insecurities get the best of her, which resulted in behaviors fueled by jealousy.

She was rude to Mel, who went out of her way to help her during her high-risk pregnancy and constantly made Jack feel guilty for wanting to live his life on his own terms, making it hard to sympathize with her.

And she couldn't take no for an answer. There are theories that she's responsible for shooting Jack, and if that's true, she deserves more than coal!

Unexpected Guest - Virgin River Season 2 Episode 9
(Netflix)

Teddy on Grey’s Anatomy Season 17 deserves some kudos for being on the frontline treating COVID patients, so maybe Santa will go easy on her.

However, she certainly earned herself a place on the naughty list for the naughty, sexy times she had with her ex on her wedding day.

And sadly for her, thanks to a butt dial, she broadcasted it so that Owen, his OR, and the entire North Pole could hear it.

Distance Between Teddy - Tall - Grey's Anatomy Season 17 Episode 6

Chastain has never seen villains quite like Barrett Cain and Logan Kim on The Resident Season 3, and we're talking about a staff that has dealt with Lane Hunter!

Cain has been driven by his ego for much of the season and always prioritized himself, which is why he kept quiet about the superbug and caused innocent patients to fall ill.

Logan Kim co-conspired with Cain to get Conrad booted, had no respect for any of the employees and only saw dollar bills.

And when it came down to it, he turned his back on Cain to save himself and his reputation.

The Call of all Calls- Tall - The Resident Season 3 Episode 18
(Guy D’Alema/FOX)

The show may be titled “good girls,” but the only thing Beth, Annie, and Ruby are good at is being bad to the bone.

They’ve had so many chances to bow out of a life of crime, but instead, they justify their actions by convincing themselves they are doing it all to support their family.

Beth spent so much of her energy hiring a hitman to kill Rio on Good Girls Season 3, but she failed to realize that they’ve become just as bad as Rio, who also takes a spot on the naughty list for killing Lucy (and possibly Boomer).

The only difference between Rio and the girls is that he owns his actions.

Rio Listens - Good Girls Season 3 Episode 4
(Jordin Althaus/NBC)

You'll never see Hiram Lodge's name on a "good list." Ever.

He continues to manipulate and sabotage his daughter at every chance he gets. At this point, it’s petty.

He also broke out of jail by making his wife seem guilty of murder and weaseled his way into becoming Mayor of Riverdale so he could assert his power over the residents.

However, there are some other Riverdale Season 4 residents whose actions have also landed them on the naughty list!

Twisted Mister - Riverdale
(Bettina Strauss/The CW)

Archie snagged a spot on the list for letting his hero complex get the best of him.

He so desperately wants to be in amongst the action, even if it puts everyone he loves in danger.

And who can forget this season’s true villains… the Stonewall Prep Literary Club of Donna Sweett, Joan Berkeley, Bret Weston Wallis, & Jonathan.

These four made it their mission to make Jughead’s life a living hell and dragged Betty Cooper down with them.

Duel - Riverdale Season 4 Episode 12
(Dean Buscher/The CW)

Not only did they constantly act superior to him and his friends, but the quartet also tried to murder our favorite aspiring writer to achieve their sadistic goals.

They played mind-games, blackmailed people, lied constantly, and broke the law on many occasions. All four of them deserve the biggest piles of coal for the pain they caused our Riverdale group!

Faustus Blackwood has always been a thorn in the coven’s side, so much so that his own daughter, Prudence, tried to kill him.

Unfortunately, she was stopped by Ambrose, and it seems that Faustus’ spell in the final moment of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 3 will be the catalyst for the eldritch terrors, which culminate in The Void (the end of all things) on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 4.

Faustus Blackwood - Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
(Netflix)

Lucifer was bad on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, sure, but we never expected the devil himself to be good.

However, Guy LaMontagne (also played by Luke Cook in the sister series) on Katy Keene is a different story.

We expected more from the fashion mogul, but he proved to be the kind of man that succeeds by stealing designs of budding fashion designers.

Katy even found a sketchbook filled with designs stolen from his other apprentices, whom he blacklisted from the industry.

A Nice Guy - Katy Keene Season 1 Episode 8
(Scott McDermott/The CW)

And the worst part is that he preyed on her feelings for him.

The Guiding Hope gang (Murphy, Jess, Felix, and Max) on In the Dark Season 2 also made the cut!

Despite their attempts to get out of the game, Murphy and her friends keep getting sucked into the illegal life.

They're potentially under the thumb of another drug dealer, killed the last one, and now they're on the run. The only one NOT getting coal this year is Pretzel.

Murphy In the Dark
(The CW)

While some may say that the robbers holding a bunch of innocent people hostage on Money Heist Season 4 are the “bad guys,” they don’t hold a candle to Arturito.

He’s a human sludge ball that's hated by audiences alike  – which truly speaks to Enrique Arce's talents.

After escaping the first heist, he tried to make money off his hostage survival story by becoming a motivational speaker.

Then, he purposefully locked himself inside the Royal Mint of Spain, tried to get close to his baby momma Stockholm, and drugged and raped/sexually assaulted one of his fellow hostages. Seriously, this guy is the worst!

Arturo Roman - Money Heist
(Netflix)

Why did Agent Odell never treat the Pierce family as equal allies?

At every turn, Agent Odell acted with a secret ulterior motive that hindered the heroes, even though he needed their help to defeat the Markovians on Black Lightning Season 4.

He drugged Lynn and caused her addiction, he manipulated Jennifer into becoming a weapon, he killed Issa Williams and countless meta-humans, and he controlled Freeland with a deadly army.

And what's equally worse is that he tried to justify his evil actions as being for the good of humankind to stop a potential meta-human war.

The ASA's Past - Black Lightning Season 3 Episode 16
(Bob Mahoney/The CW)

The Necromancer is the most obvious choice for Santa’s naughty list as he’s responsible for all the darkness engulfing Mystic Falls on Legacies Season 2.

He recreated the pit to Malivore, brought back Kai, activated "dark Josie," forced her and Lizzie to complete the Merge, and puppeteered Rafael into stabbing Landon with the golden arrow . . . to name a few of his evil deeds.

Unfortunately, Caroline Forbes also isn’t being spared!

It's hard to give someone coal when they haven't appeared on the show in the flesh, but Caroline is a terrible mother.

Hope is Over the Necromancer - Tall - Legacies Season 1 Episode 7
(Jace Downs/The CW)

Her daughters are relentlessly pursued by monsters, psycho family members, and everything else imaginable, but she fails to return to check in on them.

We know Candice King isn't interested in reprising her character. Can they at least recast the character or kill her off? We know this isn't how she would behave!

Hvitserk killed Lagertha on Vikings Season 6. That's about as peak 2020 as you'll get. Granted, it was all down to some preposterous prophecy, but there's just no redeeming him.

Is it Christmas without Frank trying to swindle his entire family on Shameless Season Season 10?

Frank's Back - Shameless Season 11 Episode 1
(Showtime)

He'll never learn, but the family will still somehow find a way to let him back into their lives. Hopefully, something of note makes him change his ways in the final season.

Cassie of The Flight Attendant is an utter trainwreck.

She uses her friends and people who don't even want to be associated with her to get what she wants. It's tiring, but the writing for her is so good that you can’t look away.

Definitely give her some coal, though!

In Her Hands - The Flight Attendant Season 1 Episode 7
(HBO Max)

Bette is the definition of petty and privilege on Tiny Pretty Things.

You feel terrible for her at first because she's undervalued by her mother and living in her more-successful sister's shadow.

However, Bette uses that insecurity to lash out at her friends and do underhanded actions to push herself ahead at her ballet school.

Bette didn't have to talk down to her so-called best friend June or sabotage her duet. Bette didn't need to act superior to the new girl, Neveah.

Bette on Tiny Pretty Things
(Netflix)

And she didn't need to engage in a threesome to get a part or lash out at her boyfriend. Bette has a lot of growing up to do.

We have no idea whether Jamie was involved with the attempted murders of every member of his family on Yellowstone Season 3, but he's definitely veering in an odd direction after finding his birth father.

Since his birth father murdered his birth mother, we're pretty sure that siding with him won't bring him the warm fuzzies he's seeking. For that, he finds himself on the naughty list.

Usually, reality TV characters are spared from this list, but an exception must be made for Yosef Aborady, the villain of The Bachelorette Season 16.

Kill the King - Yellowstone Season 3 Episode 10
(Paramount Network)

Yosef disrespected Clare Crawley before she found love with Dale Moss and was replaced by Tayshia Adams by calling her “classless” over a strip dodgeball date.

The situation escalated with him cutting her off and telling her that she doesn’t set “the right example” for his daughter, as if his behavior somehow did.

He also said he expected more “from the oldest Bachelorette” in history.

During the men-tell all, host Chris Harrison gave him a shot at redemption, but again, Yosef found no issue with how he spoke to Clare and refused to apologize even when countless men called him out for his arrogant behavior.

Yosef on The Bachelorette Season 16 Episode 10
(ABC/Craig Sjodin)

All of us are shaking our heads right along with Harrison, including Santa.

Gretchen on The Wilds. The Wilds is quite the thrill ride, a ride entirely manipulated by Gretchen Klein.

We have no idea about her motivation or what her machinations mean in the long term, but treating people as test subjects gets her a firm spot on the naughty list.

Homelander on The Boys will probably never get off of the naughty list. America's hero, he is not, even though he is admired by people the world over.

Laughter and Despair - The Boys Season 2 Episode 8
(Amazon Prime Video)

He's an angry, troubled little man connected with a genuine Nazi to maintain his top spot.

Will Jen and Judy on Dead to Me start making better decisions in the third and final season? Their lies have gotten them and others in trouble too many times.

They need to stop thinking about themselves and find a better path to get any presents from Santa.

Marty and Wendy Byrde’s actions on Ozark continue landing them in hot water.

Marty and Wendy Byrde
(Tina Rowden/Netflix)

Their little trip into the underbelly of the drug trade gets people killed. While the bodies pile up around them, they continue making bad decisions after bad decisions leading to more and more death. Santa is not visiting Wendy or Marty.

Darlene Snell is a cold-hearted psychopath who killed her husband and pursued a disturbing relationship with a much-younger Wyatt Langmore. Her predatory behavior is unsettling, to say the least.

Big Sky is ABC’s latest drama, and it has no share of characters who would end up on the naughty list.

Of course, Rick Legarski, the Montana trooper, and Ronald Pergman, a blue-collar truck driver, both top the list for murder and kidnapping young girls to sell them into a life of prostitution.

Trooper Rick - Big Sky Season 1 Episode 5
(ABC/Darko Sikman)

It's even worse when they try to justify their behavior by saying they're cleaning up America.

Det. Armstrong started off The Rookie as a detective mourning his wife's death and mentoring rookie Officer John Nolan. Nick was smart, empathetic, and generous with his time and advice, all things that seem to make him a shoo-in for the Nice List.

But Detective Armstrong had a secret… he was a dirty cop. We were shocked when he shot and killed another officer to keep her quiet and horrified when he set up Nolan to look like he was the cop working for the mob.

Even if Armstrong gets away with his crimes, he'll still have a permanent place on Santa's Naughty List.

Nick Looks Broken Up - The Rookie Season 2 Episode 20
(ABC/Kelsey McNeal)

Moff Gideon on The Mandalorian made the list for kidnapping Baby Yoda. That's all it took!

Rupert Manion on Ted Lasso is getting coal for being a womanizer who never misses an opportunity to attack Rebecca — his ex-wife — personally and professionally.

While most of the Intelligence Unit on Chicago PD Season 8 works to make Chicago a safe place, Kenny Nolan has made it his mission to destroy Atwater for sticking up for what he believes in and not standing by as a racist cop gets away with profiling and murdering a black man.

Kenny was a bully who went to great lengths to intimidate and punish Atwater. He deserves all the coal.

Mighty Return - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 10
(Skip Bolen / FOX)

Eugene Monreaux on Filthy Rich was the filthiest of them all.

From his infidelity to impregnating a harem of women, to pretending to be dead, to ripping off the poor, to his penchant for young women, this so-called God-fearing man should be terrified of Santa (and Satan) because he's definitely only getting lumps of coal in his stocking.

He is Cesar no more. After years of fighting against gang life, Cesar has officially taken over his brother's spot as the leader on On My Block.

Lil Spooky won't be seeing that jolly man in red coming down the chimney to leave him anything festive.

Kreese on Cobra Kai
(Netflix)

And lastly, Santa won't be showing Sensei Kreese any mercy in the coal department.

After blowing into town, manipulating Johnny, taking over his dojo, and fostering the worst in the Cobra Kai students, he more than earned himself a spot on that naughty list.

Turning it over to you, festive TV Fanatics!

Which 2020 characters would you add to Santa's naughty list?

What to Watch: Heels, Chesapeake Shores, Nine Perfect Strangers

Let that b*tch burn to the ground!

Drama, chaos, scandals, and shocks Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 10 delivered a soapy sendoff that worked well enough considering the circumstances.

If the Monreauxs didn't do anything else, they entertained.

Her Husband's Return - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 10
(Skip Bolen / FOX)

The show maintained their theme of the Old South and showcasing countless examples of the deep-rooted sexism that afflicts everyone on this series.

We caught more glimpses of Margaret's mother essentially pimping her underaged daughter out to a 23-year-old Eugene and his "saintly" mother pushing for it too.

We can guess that Paul probably did the same for his sister two-fold, but more on that in a bit.

Yopi worked her entire ass off and was often regarded as a conniving bitch the whole series, but SHE'S the one who got Antonio shares in a company, not Margaret or anyone else.

Feisty Yopi - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 6
(Sam Lothridge/FOX)

Rachel was the one who found Jesus, but that was a blip on the radar, and she never got her flowers in a grand enough manner onscreen.

After getting sober, Tina was the one who realized Eugene was an asshole, and she wanted every last bit of the child support he should've given her, and she fought for Ginger to get the proper stakes that she deserved.

Veronica is why Mark has stakes in a company he has no other ties to, not even blood. And he did absolutely nothing to deserve them; hell, he deceived the entire time and barely tried to be part of this family beyond his relationship with Rose.

Tina Sweet - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 2
(Skip Bolen/FOX)

Meanwhile, Ginger, who fought tooth and nail for her brothers from the second she stepped foot in NOLA and whose clashes with Margaret have mostly been because of her unwillingness to take scraps or go away, got nothing until Eugene gave it to her.

From her profession in sex work, to her knowledge, to her lack of acknowledgment and recognition nor a seat at the table (similar to how Mary wasn't regonized as Jesus' apostle), Ginger's Mary Magdelene parallels have not been lost on me.

Mark: Can you imagine if we had took that first deal and went home? We wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you. Ginger: Let’s be honest, if it weren’t for the women in your lives Veronica, Yopi you two would still be broke, so here’s to the women who made it all possible. Cheers.

🔗 permalink: Let’s be honest, if it weren’t for the women in your lives Veronica, Yopi you two would still…

What we saw was many of the women put in the groundwork. However, the men continued to reap the benefits and pull all the strings.

And that's how it remained even at the end.

Entertained Trio - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 10
(Skip Bolen / FOX)

I'll get to why that failed in a moment. First, we have to talk about all the other little things the hour delivered.

Once again, it felt as if we missed crucial moments by fast-forwarding from Rose announcing that she was marrying Not Jason to this abrupt wedding getting planned and Margaret finding out that Mark isn't Jason.

Margaret: Nothing is going to ruin my daughter’s perfect wedding day. Not even her groom.

🔗 permalink: Nothing is going to ruin my daughter’s perfect wedding day. Not even her groom.

Wouldn't you have loved to see Margaret and everyone else's reaction to Mark's scamming? The show robbed us of good juicy moments. And that's where you can't have some of these shocks and thrills if you don't let the revelations and fallout play out properly. It's literally what we tune in for, dammit.

Instead, for some reason, we jumped to a disgruntled Margaret preparing for Rose's wedding, which was happening super fast for no reason and at the Monreaux plantation. Plus, everyone dressed up as if it was a cocktail party, I don't know.

Admiring her Handiwork - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 10
(Skip Bolen / FOX)

The series handled Mark (and Jason) so poorly that it was hard to feel anything to the others reacting to him. He has barely shared any connection to anyone in the family outside of Rose.

He was a vagabond from the start, and it was no surprise that Margaret ruined the nuptials by giving Rose the file of Mark. Despite everything else going on, Rose couldn't take finding out that Mark killed his brother twice. He was the reason Jason was in the coma in the first place; he was high and ran him over with a car.

Rose: I need to think about my life.

Mark: I can wait.

Rose: Don’t.

🔗 permalink: I need to think about my life.

Mark's lack of full-explanation the first time he confessed was enough to turn Rose off for good. She wanted to take some time for herself, and she told Mark not to wait for her.

Jason - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 1
(Skip Bolen / FOX)

And now it's hard to say who and what Mark was in all of this? Are we meant to see him as a fraud and con-man? Are we supposed to view him as someone who genuinely loved Rose?

He did the least, had the most insignificant presence of them all, but he walked away with shares in Moreaux's company and a position on the board, so he'll still be there in some way.

They shuffled him off as if he was a non-factor, but it's no different than how he was the whole time.

Ginger's Call - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 10
(Skip Bolen / FOX)

Meanwhile, Eric spent the entire hour the ultimate hot mess. He looked terrible, and he was hanging on by a thread.

His conscience was weighing on him, and it's unfathomable that Margaret and Franklin both knew what he had done and how Eric felt about it, and they left him cast out in the cold to grapple with his feelings.

As people who should care about him, it was absurd, but as people who knew if Eric spilled the beans, their entire life would blow up, it was reckless on their part.

Eric confessing everything to the cops was inevitable but finding out that Luke was alive and an undercover agent was a heck of a surprise.

Shock of Her Life - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 10
(Skip Bolen / FOX)

Eric is probably the ideal person Luke and Feds could use to get information on the 18:20 and more. He's technically supposed to be part of it, and he's someone with a conscience who wants to do right and make amends.

Eric: Mama’s only going along with this charade to keep Veronica’s shares in the family. She taught us right from wrong, but only when it’s convenient.

Rose: Wait where are you going? Don’t be a little bitch, Eric.

🔗 permalink: Wait where are you going? Don’t be a little bitch, Eric.

It was eating him up alive, believing that he killed someone, and his admission that his parents raised him a specific way as a Christian but were selective in the lessons they taught him and how confusing that was — it was a compelling scene.

For Eric, God is supposed to matter; his faith meant something to him despite his indiscretions and sins. Family loyalty prevented him from accepting at first, but he recognized how disastrous they all were.

Overwhelmed Eric - tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 8
(Skip Bolen/FOX)

Eric's drinking was awful, but it meant he spazzed out at finding out things like how Rachel and Antonio are dating now, and he realized Ginger was the one sleeping with Becky.

Somehow, despite his infidelity and other things, you couldn't help but feel terrible for Eric in all of this. It comes with realizing that he has some semblance of a moral center on this show. Given how immoral he has been, that is saying something.

Ginger: I’m so sorry, Eric.

Eric: My wife is sleeping with my sister and my brother is hitting on my girlfriend. I think the sorry one.

🔗 permalink: My wife is sleeping with my sister and my brother is hitting on my girlfriend. I think the…

Eric is a man with nothing left now, but he's also someone who eventually saw that Eugene is the person who is responsible for so much of this.

King Returns - tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 10
(Skip Bolen / FOX)

Eugene is a monster. His spiritual journey has felt like bullcrap this whole time, so it's not that any of us bought into his path toward righteousness.

No way could Eugene profess to make amends and right his sins if he spent all of this time letting his family fall apart because of his past actions.

Somehow, he convinced himself that he's not only clean of his sins but above all the other people in his life, and never once did it consist of apologizing to any of them.

Ginger's Call Solo - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 10
(Skip Bolen / FOX)

He spent all that time hiding at Ginger's house with Tina, but he didn't have much to say regarding an apology. After Ginger specifically told him to stay there and not go to the house to take away from Rose's day, he did it anyway.

And Eugene beelined to the house and didn't bother to present himself properly. He waltzed in as if nothing happened, and he didn't even spend time introducing himself to the kids or giving any of them much of a moment.

Margaret: Where the hell have you been?

Eugene: God sent me on a specific quest, a crooked path that led me home.

Margaret: And there were no phones on this crooked path?

🔗 permalink: And there were no phones on this crooked path?

Antonio never met his father, and his first scene with Eugene is him tearing Antonio off of a drunken Eric, rattling on something about his other son, and disappearing again.

Shock of Her Life - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 10
(Skip Bolen / FOX)

Ironically, the promotion stills gave us the impression we would see the grand reveal with Rose, but we only saw its aftermath, so boo again!

Eugene knew Ginger would catch hell for knowing about his status, but he didn't care; he never really did.

Margaret: You should just be grateful that you have a seat at our dinner table, Ginger because you’ll never have a seat at our board.

🔗 permalink: You should just be grateful that you have a seat at our dinner table, Ginger because you’ll…

Hell, even Eugene "doing right" by his daughters by giving Ginger his shares in the company came with slights. He made it out to seem as though Ginger was some money-hungry lost cause, the spitting image of Margaret instead of his daughter who grew up poor and didn't have him around.

Eugene thought that he somehow paid for his sins, so the past and the effects he had on everyone else stopped mattering, and it was their problem now.

Rose Reunites with Eugene - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 10
(Skip Bolen / FOX)

He destroyed all of their lives, broke them beyond repair, and he still didn't give a damn about any of them. It was such a slap in the face.

Eugene is a ruinous disease. He's made people's lives a living hell for decades, across generations, and all under the guise of being a holy man and devout Christian.

It's laughable and also painfully accurate.

Mighty Return - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 10
(Skip Bolen / FOX)

It sucks that Margaret barely got a moment to ream him out, and when she did, he didn't even care.

But nothing prepared for the revelation that it wasn't five children Eugene had; it was six. Ironically, Becky carrying Eugene's baby was a fan-theory in the early days of the season, but it tapered out when we got wrapped up in Becky and Ginger.

Becky: Eugene, you came back for us.

🔗 permalink: Eugene, you came back for us.

But of all the women Eugene knocked up and had affairs with, he likes them young. Ginger pointed out how disturbing it was that Eugene and Margaret got married so young, but Margaret quickly dismissed it as the times being different then.

Dinner and Daggers - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 10
(Skip Bolen / FOX)

But the second she saw Becky and the unnamed little girl at that descending the stairs, it hit Margaret that she was a child and Eugene was nothing more than a glorified pedophile.

Maybe if we got a new season of this series, they would've explored the nature of Eugene and Becky's relationship and how far back it went. Eugene met Paul and Becky when they were teens.

They were both in the Monreaux's youth choir. Did their relationship start then?

Finding Herself - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 7
(FOX)

And given Paul's greed and opportunistic streak, was he somehow who gave his sister over to Eugene? Was he working both angles to get her higher and deeper into the Monreax family and their wealth, first with Eric and then with Eugene?

Anne: Margaret what are you doing here?

Young Margaret: I guess I’m kinda sad. I’m the cook’s daughter. I’ll never have what those rich girls have.

Anne: Come with me… this was my dress when I first came out. Why should rich girls have all the fun?

🔗 permalink: Come with me… this was my dress when I first came out. Why should rich girls have all the…

You can't put anything past Paul, who still could've been a much better antagonist if they did more with him. You would've almost forgotten he died if Becky wasn't so melancholy. And everyone else glossed over it beyond Margaret's mention of his death on the network as confetti floated down celebrating the launch of her line.

The reveal that Eugene had knocked up an impressionable Becky and they were off to live a happy life together was the final straw for everyone.

The Thomsas Siblings - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 2
(Skip Bolen/FOX)

Eugene boldly doesn't give a damn about anyone when he can drop news like that a half-hour after revealing that he's still alive. He then left a room filled with angry, hurt children and spouses with a cavalier statement about how Margaret can have everything else but the house.

He was practically begging for someone to burn that mother-frakker to the ground.

Franklin. Get out of this house.

Margaret: Everyone out, NOW!!!

🔗 permalink:  Everyone out, NOW!!!

But here's what I mean about the inherent sexism not paying off with a gratifying moment in the end.

Margaret screamed at everyone to get out of that damn house, and even though Margaret, too, has been quite awful, it was her moment to shine.

Fur and Prayer - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 4
(Skip Bolen / FOX)

She's a middle-aged woman who just realized the extent of how she was a victim. She is looking at everything that Eugene has done to ruin her life and those of her loved ones.

Everyone around her is damaged, hurt, and struggling. She recognizes that the life of wealth and success didn't make up for any of the awful things.

She's more unhappy now than she was when she was poor. She just watched another young woman not unlike herself, from being born poor, to marrying into wealth with a man who cheats on her, and men who control her (carrying a baby girl) walk out the door with this monster of a man.

Margaret Prays - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 9
(FOX)

The cycle is about to continue all over again. Margaret has decades of her life coming to mind, and it was her moment to finally be her own person, stand on her own two feet, fully snap.

But she doesn't. In those final scenes, with Maxwell's perfect crooning, as he sings "This Woman's Work" in the background, it's NOT the woman's work. It's Franklin's.

Margaret: How am I going to explain this?

Rose: You let the Old South burn.

Ginger: So something new can rise.

🔗 permalink: So something new can rise.

Franklin, who I guess still got away with the whole being the real orchestrator of Eugene's "death" thing, is the one to gather all of Eugene's mother's furs.

He's the one who tosses the painting of a woman who flat out said her son wasn't going to jail for assaulting him, but she'll arrange for him not to work there anymore instead.

Margaret's Men - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 10
(Skip Bolen / FOX)

Franklin is the one who throws that stupid painting of Eugene in the pile as he thinks about Eugene beating him to a pulp and how he's waited for this moment or decades.

He's the one who pours the alcohol all over the Monreaux pile of wealth and privilege. And he's the one who holds the candle over it as he makes eye contact with Margaret, and they both think about their lives spent in that house as the help.

And then, he's the one who sets it aflame. Yup, Franklin, Margaret's devoted second, her confidant and friend, her keeper and protector, set the Monreaux house on fire too.

Not Sorry - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 10
(Skip Bolen / FOX)

Man, Margaret really can't do anything without Franklin, huh? Sure, she got to walk out of the house and utter an icon line of "rot in hell" while wearing a red sequined gown and a fur shawl, but Angela Bassett walking away from an inflamed car in Waiting to Exhale, this is not.

And worst yet, Franklin is on the other side of the house as it goes up in flames. He's alone, in the shadows, the ghost of his mother walking past him, vindicated, but he's still an outcast despite Rose's words and Eric's errant comment about how they can't do anything without Franklin.

And for good measure, Eric's motivation for wearing a wire and taking down the 18:20? Well, it's to protect Margaret, of course.

Like his Father - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 7
(FOX)

Margaret still ends the season not getting to step into her own. She still lacks agency. She has the men of her life who are protecting and acting on her behalf.

And maybe it's something that would've been explored more in a second season. But unfortunately, we aren't getting one.

Eric: The sins of the father will not be the sins of the son. My father has returned, and I need to protect my mother at all costs. I’m your guy. Wire me up.

🔗 permalink: The sins of the father will not be the sins of the son. My father has returned, and I need to…

It's too bad as a second season would've been interesting. The Old South is dead, as Rose uttered, but the Old Monreaux are, too.

It would've been cool if we saw what the new Monreaux family looks like after all of this. How does Eric go about taking down the 18:20? Does he forgive his new siblings and accept them for who and what they are?

Southern Belle - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 1
(Alan Markfield/FOX)

What does Monreaux Industries look like with Antonio, Mark, and Ginger with shares in the company? And does this mean Ginger has more shares than the boys?

Will anyone ever save Becky from Eugene's clutches? How about her nameless baby? Where do the new Monreauxs go from here?

We'll never know, but the hour still worked as a series finale. And Filthy Rich was a fun ride.

For the last time, over to you, Filthy Rich Fanatics. What are your thoughts on this finale? Are you surprised about Eugene and Becky? Did Mark get shafted all season?

Well, they sure as hell threw a bunch of things at us at once, didn't they?

The death count, birth rate, confessions, and twists climbed on Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 9, and there's no telling what we can expect from the series finale.

But if we were wondering why Margaret burned that cursed mansion down, then the reasons are stacking up.

Burning Evidence - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 9
(FOX)

The rich will always have their secrets; the poor will lose themselves in their acquirement of riches.

The line drawn between the Haves versus the Have Nots is as clear as ever right now.

Have the Monreauxs learned anything from their experiences? And does this mean the outsiders can only flock to one another?

The hour didn't have a shortage of the classic soapy reveals, but the execution of it it was rough all around. It was so choppy and all over the place that I found myself wondering if we had somehow missed an installment between the last one and this.

The Search for Jesus - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 9
(Alyssa Moran/FOX)

It felt as though there was a sudden realization that the season (well, series) had to come to a close, and they already on the penultimate episode, so they crammed a bunch of things in and glossed over others.

Sometime between the end of Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 8 and now, Becky delivered the baby. Jesus was missing for a day and a half. Unfortunately, we didn't get the immediate aftermath of that for Antonio and Yopi.

We fast-forwarded to the two of them along with Margaret making pleas to Hagamond to bring Jesus back. It would've been nice to get some more focus on Antonio's response to all of this after winning that fight.

Finding Jesus - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 9
(Alyssa Moran/FOX)

But of course, that would have required the series to focus on Antonio and Mark more than they do Margaret, Ginger, and the others. And their stories, in comparison, have always felt underdeveloped and perfunctory.

Poor Rachel felt nothing but guilt since Jesus was under her watch when Hagamon kidnapped him, and she was with Eric. But it's hard to understand the degree of her guilty conscience or the shaming projected upon her when we've seen Jesus literally in the middle of the hallway of a dank motel.

Rachel: I need you to look me in the eye and tell me I’m not a bad person.

Eric: Rachel, you’re an angel. You’re the only good person I’ve ever known.

🔗 permalink: Rachel, you’re an angel. You’re the only good person I’ve ever known.

They pass Jesus around so much among the working girls, and Margaret's interest in him is fickle. Nevertheless, it was sweet that everyone could come together on Wings of a Dove to pray for Jesus, work the phones, and everything else as they searched for him.

Rachel and Baby Jesus - tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 8
(Skip Bolen/FOX)

It is a bit strange that there were no search parties or how no one put Paul's feet to the fire more since they all knew he was associated with this man.

Rachel's redemption — one that she didn't necessarily need in the first place — came in the form of her almost leaving town and randomly seeing Hagamond at the bus station. She knocked him out, snatched Jesus up, and she took off running.

Antonio: You fought for my baby, and you put yourself in the ring, and I’ll never forget that.

🔗 permalink: You fought for my baby, and you put yourself in the ring, and I’ll never forget that.

I appreciate that she kicked off her heels for this endeavor, but it was bothersome that she was so guilty and suddenly so put off by other people gossiping about her that she planned to bail before finding out if Jesus was safe.

For all of that work to redeem Rachel, we didn't even get to see her crowning moment of glory as she walked into The Sunshine Network with Jesus in her hands. We jumped to the aftermath of it.

Holding on to You - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 8
(Skip Bolen/FOX)

And because of Becky's baby, Eric's latest plight, and everything else, now the sweet relationship that was blossoming between Eric and Rachel got doused with cold water, but things are looking up for Rachel.

Despite rarely sharing screentime or exchanging many words with him, Rachel and Antonio have a connection. Yopi is grateful to Rachel for saving her grandson, and she considers her part of the shares Antonio has in the network.

Yopi worked her magic like the hustler that she is, and she, Antonio, (and Rachel?) now own Don's shares of the network. It's a hell of a glow-up for all of them.

Yopi and Jesus - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 7
(CR: Alyssa Moran/FOX)

You figure, even as blood and an heir, the only thing Margaret could give Antonio was a job as a security guard. Yopi had to hustle their way to a position Margaret married into with Eugene.

No one expected Rose and Eric to earn this position of power and luxury.

Eric: I ran like a coward. I left a man to die, mom. I left a man to die alone.

🔗 permalink: I ran like a coward. I left a man to die, mom. I left a man to die alone.

The theme of that carried on throughout the hour. We no longer had any room to ignore the privilege and power of Margaret and the Monreauxs and how awful they are as a result of it.

Luke's death was but a footnote, and we already knew he would pay the ultimate price for his investigation. Ironically, the person who was responsible for Eugene's "death" didn't have to do a thing.

Deals with the Devil - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 8
(Skip Bolen/FOX)

Eric was the one who accidentally killed Luke, but now I'm confused about the timeline. Did he do this before he went to Rachel's for sex or after?

I would think it happened before since he would've gone with Becky to the hospital after she was attacked and went into labor. Do you see what I mean about the timeline and clunkiness?

Eric killed Luke by accident since he found out about Luke investigating Margaret and the Monreauxs. And when he confessed all of this to Margaret, she basically told him that Franklin would handle it, he wasn't an evil person, and not to worry about anything.

Franklin Checks In - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 9
(Skip Bolen / FOX)

Taking accountability for actions isn't something that only Eugene struggled with in this family. They all have this issue, and the days of them painting themselves as victims of Eugene are over.

Margaret studied all of the pictures and evidence from Luke's crime board, and she realized that Franklin was the one behind Eugene's plane crash.

She was outraged, and she didn't seem to comprehend how he could do such a thing, even though Eugene has treated Franklin like absolute trash since they were children.

Harrowing Discovery - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 9
(Skip Bolen / FOX)

Margaret feigning naivete only to hit Franklin where it hurt during his confession proved how diabolical she's capable of being.

Margaret got a golden gateway into the wealthy lifestyle when she married Eugene over Franklin, but even though she brought Franklin along with her, he was always the help.

Margaret: He is the father of my children!

Franklin: He is the father of many children. The way he treated you with all of those other women, dammit Margaret! Everything I have ever done was in your best interest.

Margaret: I have always done my best for you.

Franklin: Really? Then why didn’t you make me CEO? You and Eric weren’t ready. I know this business better than anyone, how it was built, how it was sustained, and yes, I know where bodies are buried. Now why was I passed over?

Margaret: You’re not blood, Franklin.

Franklin: Well, there it is. Trust me, I knows I’s the help. I am the only man who has ever loved you, but if you try to take me down for Eugene, I’ll take your son with me.

Margaret: You get out!

Franklin: Yessum.

🔗 permalink: Well, there it is. Trust me, I knows I’s the help.

Margaret used to be the help, but it's funny how someone can distinguish themselves, yes? She got so accustomed to the life of luxury and her facade that she forgot about her roots.

Margaret didn't seem the least bit affected by Franklin's anger.

And he was right to be upset about being passed over for a job as CEO that he was more than qualified because of his lack of familial status. It had to sting more knowing that the board had more stake and control than the Monreauxs did, so was it really in the family?

If you think about it, Paul was a nobody who got to work himself up and get rich while also having more stake in this family-owned business than someone like Franklin, who has been part of Eugene and Marget's lives for decades.

Franklin's loyalty and love for Margaret didn't get him much, so his motivations make sense. Margaret didn't even seem affected by him until he told her that if she tried to take him down, then he would bring Eric with him.

The Black Sheep - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 9
(FOX)

And it's the fact that she would probably consider ruining Franklin when she put up with way too much from Paul and the 18:20 that doesn't sit well at all.

But this has been a fascinating study of socioeconomic and racial politics and dynamics.

Ginger: You know I know what it’s like to grow up without a father in your life. Don’t put her through that. I’m not saying go back to Eric. Just make room for him.

Becky: You should go home.

Ginger: I don’t have a home. Never did. Just different walls and different rooves.

Becky: I feel bad for you, Ginger. I always have.

Ginger: Back at ya, girl.

🔗 permalink: I don’t have a home. Never did. Just different walls and different rooves

Franklin and Rachel aren't the only ones who felt discarded by the Monreauxs. Ginger experienced a similar feeling with Becky.

They were such a promising pair, but you could see the exact moment Becky's facade went back up after she dismissed Ginger seconds after such raw vulnerability.

A Love Like This - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 8
(Skip Bolen/FOX)

Her quote about how she wanted to hold off naming her daughter because of not wanting to assign her a role before she necessary was a powerful statement in so many ways.

Becky doesn't believe that things can work out with Ginger, and she's not ready for that yet. To be fair, Becky has a lot to work out, and it doesn't seem as though she's going to fall into Eric's arms and play marriage either.

Ginger: Does she have a name?

Becky: I’m not ready to tell her who she is supposed to be yet. A name is the first thing that defines a person. It defines them forever without their consent. I want her to be free for as long as she possibly can.

Ginger: That’s sweet.

Becky: You taught me how lovely it is to be free and dangerous.

🔗 permalink: I’m not ready to tell her who she is supposed to be yet. A name is the first thing that defines

She had high hopes of starting a new life with her baby and Paul after Margaret fired him. Isn't it insane that Paul crumbled after Margaret told him to get lost and take his followers with him?

Paul didn't have any real leverage beyond that? He hardly seemed threatening after that.

Angelic in White - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 7
(CR: Alyssa Moran/FOX)

Despite Margaret firing him, his sister getting attacked by his colleague, and more, he died, not taking a speck of accountability for his actions.

He was still asking God for favor as if he wasn't out there doing the devil's work on the regular. He only cared about himself to his last breath.

Paul: You’re not the witness, Hagamond. You’re not the witness. You’re my greatest sin.

Hagamond: You played your part well, Paul. Time to go home.

🔗 permalink: You played your part well, Paul. Time to go home.

Despite the info-dump of how hard he and Becky's lives were growing up during their sweet but misplaced moment at the hospital, Paul didn't get the chance to have any real depth, and his death was anti-climatic.

The Thomsas Siblings - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 2

Hagamond's death was much the same, but they used it to bring Eugene back (again) to reveal himself to Ginger. We're toward the end, and I still cannot make sense of Eugene's season-long mission of hiding the fact that he's still alive.

Wouldn't the longer it took to reveal himself and fix his own messes, the more worthy of blame he is for every terrible thing that happened since he "died?"

The entire family and the company have fallen apart while he was on the outskirts. People have died, Eugene! Your son is a murderer now, sir!

Margaret's prayer moved Ginger, and she was back to the starry-eyed girl who looked forward to spending time with her idol and felt embraced by the family, but then Franklin dashed her hopes again, and I don't even know if he was right or wrong for it.

But now, Tina is back, and she knows that the father, who she learned was a crappy person, is back too. Where will Ginger stand on this?

Eugene isn't a decent person, but he's supposedly making amends, but as time has gone on, most of the others aren't the greatest either, and it's not solely because of Eugene.

Eric at the Desk - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 6
(Sam Lothridge/FOX)

Does Ginger continue to foster the bonds she developed with Margaret, Rose, and even Eric? Does she distance herself and focus on Tina and Eugene?

Meanwhile, Rose, always in a universe all on her own, announced that she and Mark are getting married.

Margaret: You’re fired.

Paul: You can’t fire me. You need me. I leave, and my ministry follows.

Margaret: I forsake any who follow you. You’re canceled, preacher.

🔗 permalink: I forsake any who follow you. You’re canceled, preacher.

You could've bought Margaret for a quarter. It's hard to believe that after all of this time, Rose is the only one in that household who knows Mark isn't Jason.

Maybe she should've led with that, so Margaret didn't think her daughter was marrying that half-brother she has barely paid attention to since he arrived.

Interrupted - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 9
(Skip Bolen / FOX)

Mark is probably the only genuinely happy person on the show right now. He didn't get wrapped up in all of the money and drama. He stayed away from most of the Monreauxs.

He cleared his conscience by telling Veronica that he's not really Jason, and sharing with Rose that he helped Jason die.

Mark is the only one living his best life.

In passing, we also learned that Rose did get the abortion in New York, but it hasn't affected her and Mark any, and I guess Ginger was there with Rose when it happened?

Sweet Rose - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 6
(Sam Lothridge/FOX)

I don't know. Again, the timeline is wonky, and the hour fast-forwarded through so many moments and once again showcased which characters and stories they're more devoted to over others.

At this rate, I endorse burning that house and the company down and all of them starting over from scratch.

The newbies can hold their own; they're all survivors. Margaret should get in touch with her roots as a working-class person. Rose will be fine, living paycheck to paycheck with Mark in New York as she gets her fashion line off the ground.

Mark and Veronica - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 7
(FOX)

Eric will either pay for his sons or be willing to give up everything and devote his life to charitable efforts to atone for his sins. As Ginger reminded him, God has chosen all types of people who have done unspeakable things.

It's the good deeds outweighing the bad ones that matter. Or, you know, as Romans 12:21 states: Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Fight night turned into fright night.

The events of Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 8 left the trusty devoted reporter dead, Becky in labor, Jesus kidnapped by a religious psychopath, Mark jail-bound, and Rose headed to NYC for an abortion.

Whew, did you get all of that?

Concerned Mother - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 8
    (Skip Bolen/FOX)

First, we need to talk about Franklin and Margaret. They took a huge step forward at the end of Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 7, but was it all for naught?

They spent the night together, but it doesn't seem as though anything has changed enough between them. Margaret was trying to keep her distance, and for a bit, she was behaving as if nothing had happened.

Franklin thought they made a turnaround in their relationship after growing up with each other. However, Margaret placated him with this need to take things slow, and it's hard to understand her feelings about Franklin and the future of their relationship.

Partner in Crime - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 6
    (Sam Lothridge/FOX)

When he asked her what they were, she said they were what they always have been with extra, but that's still not the relationship Franklin wants.

He spent his entire life waiting on Margaret. He's a patient man who doesn't have an issue waiting for more, but that's not fair to him.

Margaret: I need to take it slow.

Franklin: Half a lifetime ain’t slow enough?

Margaret: I’ll come and find you at the fight. You’ll wait for me?

Franklin: I’ve waited this long. But Margaret, don’t be scared to be loved.

🔗 permalink: I’ve waited this long. But Margaret, don’t be scared to be loved.

Based on that flashback, he's always left waiting for Margaret, and Eugene made him pay the price for it. When you look at the relationship between all of them as teens, it makes you wonder how Franklin could stand working with either of them for decades.

Eugene and his friends pummeled young Franklin for having the audacity to plan a nice date with Margeret. And in the present, it was much of the same with Franklin extending invitations and laying his heart out there, and Margaret didn't show up or got distracted.

The Waiting Game - tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 8
    (Skip Bolen/FOX)

She takes Franklin for granted. But with Franklin's growing frustration and his shared with Eugene, did he have anything to do with Eugene's plane crash or some other attempt to shake up the Monreauxs lives?

Luke was the person who could've done that, but he's dead now. He didn't seem as surprised by whoever showed up at his apartment, so who was it that killed him?

He was working alongside Eugene, and Haggamon had his hands busy with attacking Becky and kidnapping Jesus. Do you think it was Paul?

Becky was right when she said Paul handled the divorce news too well, and he was still reeling from Mark not giving a damn about his blackmail tactics.

A Love Like This - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 8
    (Skip Bolen/FOX)

Paul was pulling out all the stops to gain control of Eric and get Mark's share of the company. He's not one to take anything lying down, and as he told Becky, they have worked too hard to get this far.

Paul isn't the sort of person to let anything go, so he would find a new tactic to get what he wanted, and that could include killing Luke before the reporter exposed too much. He probably picked up that Luke didn't buy any of his bullcrap and pegged him as the person who arranged for the plane crash.

Luke: How did Reverend Paul become your spiritual advisor?

Eugene: Paul and Becky were in our praise choir. Paul was talented, and he loved the attention, but he is really in the confession bracket. He would get secrets out of powerful men. Then he’d own them.

Luke: Maybe powerful men should have fewer secrets.

🔗 permalink: Maybe powerful men should have fewer secrets.

Ginger is going to feel awful when she finds out about Luke. She blew him off for Rose. Luke's investigation was dangerous, and he was always on the cusp of getting himself killed.

Something about Eugene's statement regarding how far the 18:20 reaches was ominous. He said there are members of it in every state and also all over the world.

Deals with the Devil - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 8
    (Skip Bolen/FOX)

The organization is bigger than any of them thought, and they have more power than anyone is giving them credit for, so the takedown is herculean.

Becky was afraid that Paul was going to do something to Eric, and she's right; Paul would think of Eric as disposable. But if he stopped Luke and sent Eric a message by doing so, then maybe he would've avoided taking out the father of his sister's baby.

Becky: Eric and I had to get married. I don’t think he ever loved me anyway.

🔗 permalink: Eric and I had to get married. I don’t think he ever loved me anyway.

Becky continued to shine. She was there with Ginger when they went apartment hunting, and she's still squeamish about labels and putting a name on her sexuality, but she was open about her relationship with Eric.

For some reason, it seemed as though she and Eric were married for a long time. It turns out that Eric got Becky pregnant, and that's what led to a shotgun wedding.

Overwhelmed Eric - tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 8
    (Skip Bolen/FOX)

Becky mused that there was probably never any love there, and sadly, she's probably right, but they have something akin to it now. Once they stripped away the marriage and faced it for what it is, they have a mutual understanding and respect for one another.

Becky and Eric will probably work better as friends and co-parents than they ever will as a married couple.

Realtor: This is an open-minded school district.

Ginger: This house isn’t for us.

    Becky: I’m not a lesbian.

    🔗 permalink: I’m not a lesbian.

Eric was shocked to find out that his pregnant wife had an affair, too, and it'll be hysterical when he finds out that the person his wife is in love with is Ginger.

Paul always controlled Becky, and he was an opportunist. It was interesting to see that Eric didn't always stand up to Paul for himself, but he seemed to be cognizant and protective of Becky when it came to how Paul treated her.

Finding Herself - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 7
    (FOX)

Paul didn't hide that he was determined to keep Becky in the closet, and he used her to get ahead. But Becky is done with all of that.

She and Ginger had a sweet chat in the bathroom, and they're ready to make whatever it is they are to one another work. They're both committed to it.

It's a complicated situation, but it's impressive how this bizarre family has come together and formed such unusual bonds.

Ginger and Becky pursuing things together means that Eric can do the same with Rachel.

Irresistible - tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 8
    (Skip Bolen/FOX)

And it has never ceased to amuse how Antonio, Yopi, and Jesus have become family with Ginger, Rachel, and the girls. Rachel was so fond of baby Jesus.

She's beside herself that Haggamon took him on her watch. Antonio had such a high winning his fight, and he's going to return to the worst thing that could ever happen to him.

Initially, Yopi pushing Antonio so hard was frustrating, and it felt as though the bit of progress and change of heart some of us had for Yopi was all for naught.

Antonio was doing everything he could to avoid taking a dive during that fight. You could tell he intended to not make weight, and Yopi wasn't having any of it.

Holding on to You - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 8
    (Skip Bolen/FOX)

But Yopi knows her son, and she knew he wouldn't go through with throwing the fight no matter what. She suspected that his conversation would Margaret would be the last thing to push him over the edge.

It was a bit nerve-wracking when Yopi told Rachel to bet the full six million on a fighter. But Yopi knows her son well, and she suspected he wasn't going to throw the fight.

She was so proud of him, and she tripled their money. She had Don to deal with, and I don't know how she'll fare well against him. They're hard to figure out.

Antonio WIns - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 8
    (Skip Bolen/FOX)

Rose's independent stance is holding, and she and Margaret butted heads over Rose getting an abortion.

A mother always knows, and Margeret picked up on the signs as quickly as we probably did that Rose was pregnant. It's crazy how Ginger knows Mark is the father, but she still thinks Mark is Jason.

Margaret: You’re nauseous. You’re overly tired. Rose, are you pregnant?

🔗 permalink: You’re nauseous. You’re overly tired. Rose, are you pregnant?

Ginger is just totally chill about the fact that her two half-siblings are getting it on.

Margaret was butting in and spilling the beans all over the place. She assumed that Brett was the father, and she wasted no time telling him to do right by her daughter.

The Champ - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 8
    (Skip Bolen/FOX)

It's sad that she would inflict the likes of Brett on her daughter for the sake of image. Brett was the absolute worst in his tacky jacket and with his douchey attitude.

It's hard to keep up with who knows what secrets. Rose was upset with Mark, and she assumed that he was in a relationship with Veronica.

She didn't know that Veronica was Jason's mother. Her jealousy dissipated, but then she was angry at him for leading Veronica to believe that she was forging a relationship with her son.

And she was pissed off that everyone was trying to tell her what to do with her body and the baby.

Worried Sisters - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 8
    (Skip Bolen/FOX)

Between Rose and Veronica's comment to Mark about Franklin, he decided to make a move that's about to blow everything up again.

He couldn't wait to put his hands on Brett, and for that, I can't blame him. The guy was an asshole. But he reported himself to the cops under his real name, and once it hits the news, everyone will know that he's a fraud.

Brett: There must be some kind of mistake. Today is the first time I’ve seen Rose in maybe a year, but if I find the guy, I’ll kick his ass for you.

🔗 permalink: There must be some kind of mistake. Today is the first time I’ve seen Rose in maybe a year,…

Mark has been such a lowkey, laidback character, but he made some boss moves during the hour. I loved his response to Paul when the good Reverend attempted to blackmail him.

Paul has gotten so used to blackmailing powerful, rich men with a lot to lose that he forgot that doesn't work on nobodies.

Rachel and Baby Jesus - tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 8
    (Skip Bolen/FOX)

Mark is a street kid, and a former poor one, just like Paul. He sees through the bullcrap, and he doesn't have much to lose. Go, Mark!

It's too bad that Rose will be in NYC before she hears about what Mark did. Although, they were still on the runway, so maybe Jesus' disappearance, Becky's attack by Haggamon, Mark's arrest, and Luke's murder will have their phones blowing up.

Freedom looks different for a whole lot of people.

And for some of the clan on Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 7, freedom looked a heck of a lot like some good old fashion sinning.

It was another solid hour of this fun and filthy soap drama.

Basic Becky - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 2
    (Skip Bolen/FOX)

The scripture of the hour was 2 Corinthians 3: 17, "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."

Freedom looked different for the Monreauxs and their associates, but it also came with danger and those consequences Becky warned about midway through the installment.

    Becky: I’m so trapped.

Ginger: Life shouldn’t be about surrender. It should be about freedom. There are no rules.

    Becky: Only consequences.

    🔗 permalink: Only consequences.

Speaking of Becky, what an engaging character she has become in the past couple of installments. It took until the midway point, but they finally evolved her outside of the sassy narrator and walking gimmicky lines with coifed hair.

Finding Herself - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 7
    (FOX)

It should come as no surprise that she became more interesting once she broke away from her role as Eric's wife and Paul's sister and carved out space for herself.

Like many of the women on Filthy Rich, she's battling identity issues and struggling with how to center herself. She let go for the first time in ages or ever when she initiated that kiss with Ginger, and the floodgates opened.

She didn't have the freakout you would expect either; instead, it was a less turbulent shift as she took her time poking and prodding, quietly trying to determine what all of this mean for her and self-reflecting.

She let her guard down and the bitchy exterior too, and once she did that, her interactions with the other women were rather fun.

Ginger Likes to Party - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 7
    (FOX)

It's evident by the hour that Becky is unaccustomed to engaging with other women in a friendly manner, and when she got a taste of it, she didn't want to let it go.

My judgments of Becky aside, she's a rather tragic character in that sense. She's well into a pregnancy within, a marriage that she didn't get anything out of now, and Becky's just now discovering herself and what she wants.

Becky: I just got confused seeing you with a man that’s all.

Ginger: A person doesn’t have to be just one thing, Becky. I am attracted to individuals — men and women. And I let myself act on those impulses. I don’t hold back, but you are married to my brother, so if you want to kiss me again, you might want to take that into consideration.

🔗 permalink: A person doesn’t have to be just one thing, Becky. I am attracted to individuals — men and…

It's better late than never, but it's also sad that it took this long at all. How much happier could Becky have been if she had these discoveries earlier in her life?

For all her criticism of Margaret, she's so much like her, isn't she? And the parallels of these women continue to be an ongoing theme interwoven well.

Eric and his Wife - tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 1
    (Patti Perret/FOX)

Becky's confrontation with Rachel was rather refreshing. She knew the second she saw Rachel that she was the one sleeping with Eric. But she didn't have anything negative to say about the woman.

It's a complicated mess of feeling and conflicts, and the two women at least understand all of this.

Becky: It’s you, isn’t it? You’re the one who has been sleeping with Eric.

Rachel: Becky, I’m so sorry. I never thought about you as an actual person.

Becky: I haven’t thought of me as an actual person either.

🔗 permalink:  I haven’t thought of me as an actual person either.

Rachel's comment about how she didn't think of Becky as a real person was illuminating as to how she could continue carrying on this emotional affair with a married father-to-be, and Becky agreeing that she didn't see herself that way either was a gut-punch.

In a way, Rachel, Becky, and even Eric are all victims of circumstance. None of their lives have turned out the way they envisioned, and they're unhappy for a host of reasons.

Angelic in White - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 7
    (CR: Alyssa Moran/FOX)

With the help of Rose's fashion show and Ginger's encouragement, Becky, for the first time, felt seen by everyone, walking down the runway in that wedding dress. The wings were apropos as she looked stunning and positively angelic.

Eric saw her for the first time, but unfortunately, between that and his previous conversation where he feared becoming a man like his father, it prompted him to cut ties with Rachel and focus on Becky.

He's trying to do the honorable thing and be a better man and person, and it's commendable. While he and Rachel are adorable together, it was a bit disconcerting that on his quest for righteousness, he slept with her and had no guilt about it when it came to Becky.

It's the first time he grappled with his actions, so it felt right for him to make such a bold move, even though it came at Rachel's expense, and Becky has succumbed to her urges and set herself free.

Like his Father - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 7
    (FOX)

Ginger has no qualms about kissing or sleeping with her brother's pregnant wife. I guess there are no surprises there, but damn if their moments together aren't endearing.

It's something about Ginger gently but confidently explaining to Becky what her sexuality is and how it doesn't have limitations or how she encouraged Becky to stop disappearing that that made all of their scenes some of the best of the hour.

Ginger: So you did for pregnancy what Madonna did for moles.

Becky: I don’t want to go home.

Ginger: Let’s get you out of this dress.

    Becky: Set me free. Please.

🔗 permalink: Set me free. Please.

By the time they got to the "set me free" dress scene with Ginger peppering Becky with gentle kisses, I mean, who isn't 'shipping those two?

Hopefully, Becky and Eric can sit down and have a deep, honest talk with one another to resolve things. They both deserve to find their own way and be happy. Life is too short to live it not staying true to yourself.

Set Me Free - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 7
    (FOX)

Margaret is someone who has done this her entire life; look at where it got her?

The flashbacks to Margaret and Franklin's childhood has shown how close they were. They were each other's everything, and in any other scenario, they would've been together this entire time.

However, Margaret's mother wanted Margaret to pull them out of their servant status by courting Eugene. And that's what happened.

It's doubtful there was ever any real love between Eugene and Margaret, and young Eugene was an entitled, rich asshole. It was disturbing to see him making moves on Margaret in his bedroom quarters before the Cotillion.

Heaven Help Us - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 4
    (Skip Bolen / FOX)

It was worse knowing that Margaret's mother sent her there. As Franklin said, Margaret's mother threw her to the wolves.

Life would've been so different if Margaret could follow a path she forged and her heart instead of succumbing to expectations. I'm glad she's starting to see how she imposes the same things on her children and those around her.

Margaret: Now everyone can leave, but not you. You promise?

Franklin: I promise. Margaret, what are we to each other, really?

Margaret: You know that answer. Everything.

🔗 permalink: You know that answer. Everything.

It's more evident than ever how Ginger giving her such a hard time and doing whatever she pleases probably leaves Margaret in awe. Margaret never dared to be that bold, unapologetic, and brave.

The situation with Veronica, Franklin's words, and her fall helped her reflect on her life and relationship with Franklin. And boy, he, along with Becky, owned the hour. Franklin wasn't here for any of the sh*t.

Be Bold - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 7
    (FOX)

It must have been hard for Franklin. He spent his entire life protecting Margaret and loving her. And he got mixed signals as to what he meant to her.

He didn't get the best deal out of any of this. He has been Margaret's trusty confidant and protector for their entire lives. Franklin didn't get her love as he hoped, and he had to protect her husband, who he doesn't like.

Franklin: We do this, it changes everything.

    Margaret: I hope so.

🔗 permalink: We do this, it changes everything

Everyone who interacts with him dismisses him as Margaret's lackey, and it's such an ugly, layered assumption. But it makes it sting more when Franklin is often left wondering if after everything he's gone through with that family, especially Margaret if he's just the help.

It shouldn't have taken this long for Margaret to see Franklin, but she did. She can handle everyone else leaving her, but she can't bear him stepping away.

Partner in Crime - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 6
    (Sam Lothridge/FOX)

The unfortunate thing about Margaret is how she uses certain things to manipulate others, so the timing of her kissing him and walking him to her bedroom was a bit cringe. I'm choosing to believe she had a come to Jesus moment and was genuine with her love of Franklin.

Paul was an ass again. Townes killed himself, and Virgil went down. They also think Eugene is dead, and wooing Eric isn't going smoothly, so NOW Paul wants to recruit Franklin into the 18:20 Old Boys Club.

If Paul was sincere, then he would've done it ages ago. Franklin calling Paul out on being a charlatan more than a Christian and not turning him down was the best.

Preaching and Plotting - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 1
    (Skip Bolen / FOX)

No one wants to be a second, third, or whatever else choice and the 18:20's aesthetic was saying things without them ever having to do it.

Unfortunately, Paul is a wily one, and he got his clutches into Mark by way of Veronica. Since Veronica is angry at Franklin and Margaret, and she seems to sip the Reverend Paul Kool-Aid, then this development with Mark is about to bite everyone else in the ass. That killer confession is worrisome.

Franklin: Are you trying to recruit me?

Paul: We’ve long admired your skills. You can name your price. Good Christian men, we ought to stand together.

Franklin: I’m Baptist, and you damn sure ain’t a Christian, so no matter what I choose, It won’t be you.

🔗 permalink: I’m Baptist, and you damn sure ain’t a Christian, so no matter what I choose, It won’t be you.

For so long, Mark was the one nobody outside of Rose was paying attention to, and perhaps this is why. He had to kill his brother, the real Jason, and it was devastating for him.

Mark and Veronica - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 7
    (FOX)

He's lost, and then Veronica dumped the truth that she's Jason's mother on him.

Mark is looking for comfort in all the wrong places. The Monreaux family is too much for him, including Rose.

If Veronica is giving him her shares of the Sunshine Network, assuming that he's Jason, and Paul has a hook into "Jason" now, then he's closer to taking over the Network than any of the rest of them realize.

He and Bouchard are also getting a firm grip on Antonio. Don took Yopi so he could arrange a deal with Antonio to profit off of a trilogy of fights.

Dancing with the Devil - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 7
    (FOX)

Paul's ability to use religion to justify anything never ceases to amaze. The parallel he chose to draw between Jesus, the Carpenter, and Antonio, the MMA fighter, was funny.

And damn if his prayers over Mark/Jason didn't give you a chill or two. He's just too good at being this manipulative and evil.

Yopi's honest discussion with Antonio peeled back another layer to her character, and the show does well with showing that there is more to each person than what you initially see.

For so long, she came across as someone who used Antonio as a pawn. She was a gambler and exploited him, and she's always working an angle.

Yopi and Jesus - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 7
    (CR: Alyssa Moran/FOX)

But then you find out about what the 18:20 did to her when she found out she was pregnant, and it puts her actions into perspective.

She, too, was an up and coming fighter. When she found out she was pregnant, they offered to pay her a million dollars for an abortion, but she couldn't get rid of her baby.

Her defiance and lack of submission to her will led to them breaking this young, pregnant fighter's hands so she couldn't fight anymore. How monstrous is that?

Yopi wants them to pay in any way that she can get them to pay. In her mind, it's the least they can do, and she poured into Antonio everything she could to make him great.

What Did You Say? - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 1
    (Alan Markfield/FOX)

In a way, Antonio is Yopi's redemption, and his success means that everything she endured was worth it.

Rose's success came in the form of taking a stand against Margaret and doing her fashion show. It must be hard on Rose having a mother who nitpicks and smothers her so much.

Margaret probably doesn't even realize how she stifles Rose and crushes her dreams. But with Ginger, Rose was able to step into herself.

Eugene was looking on, proud of her girls, but is anyone else thrown off by how they continue to lionize this man when he was clearly the worst?

Proud Papa - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 7
    (FOX)

Eugene is so many different things to various people. He was a kind, loving man to Tina and the love of her life.

But young Eugene in flashbacks was an asshole to Franklin and a sleaze to Margaret.

Eugene: I want to testify. It is the Lord’s will

Luke: You’re supposed to be dead!

🔗 permalink: You’re supposed to be dead!

Eugene got wrapped up in the 18:20, and he's culpable in a lot of despicable things. He cheated on his wife, endangered so many women, and wasn't the best father to his children.

He had kids out there he wasn't taking care of and kept quiet. He's not a saint, but yet, Ginger and Rose lionize the man, Eric is disgusted and working not to be like him at all.

Aspiring Fashion Designer - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 1
    (Skip Bolen / FOX)

Margaret is disappointed and has suffered because of the colossal mess Eugene left her. And Eugene is off in the shadows.

At least he was in the shadows. I'm gathering now that he has revealed himself to Luke, Eugene has some things to say, and he's ready to spill all the tea.

Bring it on, already! It's taking too long.

Eugene isn't the scariest person lurking in the shadows. Hagamond is in the shadows, raving like a religious lunatic, and he has eyes on "Saving" baby Jesus and thinks Becky's unborn child is evil. Good Lord, help us all. Not the babies!

It feels as though we're heading toward the home stretch.

The events of Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 6, like the previous installment, has proven that the second half of the season will be stronger than the first.

The bad news is that Filthy Rich's cancelation is official, but at least we get to see it through to the end.

Partner in Crime - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 6
    (Sam Lothridge/FOX)

Ironically, there was a near-finality to the installment. Perhaps it was because of how everyone rather abruptly shifted toward being on the same side.

Some of the character changes have been so abrupt that it's jarring, but then a lot of things you have to chalk up to it being a soap drama.

The real Jason woke up from his coma, and it was surprising how unfazed Mark and Rose were about the potential fallout from this.

They both were thrilled to hop on a new fancy plane (despite Rose's anti-plane sentiment in previous installments) and fly to Colorado to meet him in person.

Filling Luke In - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 6
    (Sam Lothridge/FOX)

It's hard to say if there are any further plans with the real Jason. He didn't have much of a reaction to Rose and laid there politely while she prayed over him and rambled on.

But his only thing was that he had seen the Other Side, or maybe remembered the haziness of Eugene visiting him and assumed it was the Other Side, and he wanted Mark to help him go back there.

What are we supposed to do with that, and how does it factor in down the road? Who knows?

It remains unfortunate that Filthy Rich mostly removed Not Jason from most of the Monreaux legacy and power change storylines, and the series sidelined him with this romance with Rose.

Compromising Secret - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 2
    (Skip Bolen/FOX)

He's barely a blip on anyone outside of Rose's radar the majority of the time. Ginger referenced each of her siblings when demanding their part of the inheritance, and Rose had to be the one to add Not Jason at all.

We have four episodes left to see if he pays any more significant role in all of this. Maybe they'll surprise us.

Ginger: Look at you all, like an off-brand cast of the Wizard of Oz. Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Scarecrow, the Cowardly Lion, and Toto too because you ride around in your mother’s basket.

    Rose: I deserved that.

🔗 permalink: Look at you all, like an off-brand cast of the Wizard of Oz. Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Scarecrow

The whiplash sisterly bond between Rose and Ginger has been a headscratcher too. For the longest time, Ginger liked Rose. Her animosity toward the Monreauxs excluded the young fashionista.

But Ginger was right there, dragging Rose to filth with the others at the top of the hour in one of her self-righteous tirades.

Sweet Rose - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 6

Ginger is always on a crusade, and she overdoes it. She really was talking about her girls as if Saint Wagon was a haven house for misplaced youth, orphans, and the poor or something.

Even Ginger has been distracted away from the girls and her business; Ginger can have several seats.

She continues to underestimate how naive and ignorant the Monreauxs are, even when she's given ample evidence that supports how easily swayed and out there they are.

At this point, how isn't it apparent that Eric and Rose are privileged and clueless, and Margaret wasn't running much of anything?

Nevertheless, Ginger directed her crusade against the Monreaux empire solely at Margaret.

For Ginger to repeatedly ring the bell for solidarity among women and so forth, she spends a hell of a lot of time trying to make Margaret specifically pay for the sins and actions of all the men around her.

She wanted to wait to take down Virgil, but she wasted no time having Luke launch a story about Margaret's complicity (despite a few months as CEO) in the 18:20 business.

All of which they could've avoided if the women sat down and had an actual conversation without one of them shutting down or taking a hard left somewhere else.

Margaret's singular focus on accessing that tape was annoying. However, if Ginger told her right at the moment that Sheen had kidnapped and abused her, Margeret would've reacted like any decent human.

Ginger never gave her a chance, but she tied Margaret into Sheen's actions by releasing the tape and implying Margaret had known about it.

The one positive thing to come from the tape reveal was how Rose and especially Eric rallied around Ginger. Eric has barely acknowledged Ginger as anything but a problem, but he couldn't take seeing anyone harm his sister like that, and he called her that.

    (Sam Lothridge/FOX)

Eric had the best turnaround on the series. He's turning out to be a decent human who wants to do right.

Eugene hanging out in the shadows like this and moving chess pieces around to right his wrongs via other people is odd, though.

    Rose: Are we bad people?

Eric: Maybe. Every time we went on that show. Every time we promoted stuff. Every time we asked for money, people were getting hurt.

🔗 permalink: Maybe. Every time we went on that show. Every time we promoted stuff. Every time we asked for…

Eric shouldn't have to be the person who rights Eugene's wrongs for him. Eugene should do that himself.

But Eric is determined to fix the housing situation and takes his job in the charitable section of the company seriously.

    (Sam Lothridge/FOX)

Thanks to Eugene and the young girl whose house was falling apart, Eric was able to figure out how the church and company have profited and made billions off of natural disasters and destruction.

Every time there's a hurricane or something in New Orleans, they're there to make all the money, and it's off the backs of the less fortunate.

It's disgusting, and Paul sounds like a raving mad man and one of those quintessential bad-faith Christians who twist the Bible and their faith to justify the unthinkable, wicked, and despicable.

    The 18:20 - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 6
    (Sam Lothridge/FOX)

Of course, it's one more thing on the list of crap that Margaret never knew about, and Eric will probably share the information with his mother soon enough.

Reverend Paul is the absolute worst, isn't he? He was in full-blown maniacal and villain mode during the hour.

Paul: If the Devil is whispering in your ear, you surrender to God’s plan.

🔗 permalink:   If the Devil is whispering in your ear, you surrender to God’s plan.

It was also disturbing to see how he handled his sister when she came to him seeking advice and support. Becky knows her relationship with Eric is a sham, and it sounds as though she never wanted this baby or any parts of most of this.

Paul led her to believe that everything she did was part of God's plan, and she had to go along with it. No wonder Basic Becky is so miserable all of the time.

Basic Becky - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 2
    (Skip Bolen/FOX)

Her line about how she felt trapped in her body and circumstances was such a striking one. Paul's response, saying how he knows the Devil is whispering in her ear, but she needs to surrender to God's plan was too.

Paul is shoving Becky into the closet and shaming her into staying there, "in the name of the Lord." He's using her as a pawn to get what he needs and desires, and she's in utter misery because of her lack of agency.

Becky: I feel trapped, in my body, in my circumstances, I feel like I’ve been fighting for something that I never really wanted.

🔗 permalink: I feel trapped, in my body, in my circumstances, I feel like I’ve been fighting for something…

Becky is pregnant with a child she doesn't want, by a man that she doesn't love, to usurp the power of a family she doesn't even like.

She gave up on fighting all of it and surrendered to her feelings in that bathroom with Ginger. She kissed her, and hell, good for Becky.

    (Sam Lothridge/FOX)

Something tells me Paul is losing control of his sister, and Becky and Eric will be parting ways in no time.

Paul is losing control of everything, and his biggest mistake was dismissing Sheen. The man is certifiable, and he's done the dirty and bloody work for the 18:20 for decades.

He's not the type of man you flick your hand at and dismiss. He speaks like he's in the Old Testament, and vengeance is always his.

Paul shouldn't have been surprised that Sheen killed Townes. He should be worried about being next on Sheen's hit list.

Eric at the Desk - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 6
    (Sam Lothridge/FOX)

Townes was a vile man, so he's not going to be missed, but Victoria isn't going to let his death go.

Despite being an abused woman, she had a love for Townes. She also didn't like how Margaret used her, and she called her out on it.

Margaret: I ask your forgiveness for not protecting you from Eugene’s legacy, but I will not take responsibility for it. I will continue to protect what we have created but only if I have to.

🔗 permalink: I ask your forgiveness for not protecting you from Eugene’s legacy, but I will not take…

Margaret does use people and tends to focus on herself and what she wants, disregarding other people's feelings or situations along the way.

It almost seemed ridiculous that with so much going on, all Margaret could focus on was manufacturing her perfume. It's weird how she never anticipates the fallout or consequences of the big moves she makes.

The Lovers - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 6
    (Sam Lothridge/FOX)

Victoria is someone who slipped through the cracks, and it does make you wonder about what kind of friend Margaret is. But also, Victoria knew all of the crap her husband was doing, and she just drank herself to oblivion and ignored it, I guess.

The most she wanted from Margaret was a head's up if Margaret chose to destroy Townes as she did Virgil. From her perspective, it would be terrible if a friend took down another friend's husband without considering the effects on his wife and children.

Luke: My question for Margaret is how a female CEO puts up with the abuse of women. At some point, Margaret is going to need to speak for herself.

Margaret: Mr. Taylor, get in the car.

🔗 permalink: Mr. Taylor, get in the car.

Now that Townes is dead, Victoria is a bit of a wild card. I wonder if she'll blame Margaret and do something retaliatory or if Paul will take the blame.

Sheen going after the worst of the 18:20 isn't so bad, but it was disconcerting that he was in Luke's apartment, looking at his investigation board.

    A Survivor - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 6
    (Sam Lothridge/FOX)

And we know he's not the type of person to stop at just the men he was in business with, either. He'll come for Margaret and everyone else too, and that's not right.

But he's not the only scary one right now. It was an ominous vibe to Don, demanding Yopi get into his vehicle.

She's feisty, and while she has some shady ways, I do believe her when she said that everything she does and ever did was for Antonio and Jesus.

We never got a full idea of what her history was with Don, and she apparently has some stories on him that he'd otherwise not want out.

Feisty Yopi - Tall - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 6
    (Sam Lothridge/FOX)

Ginger is right about how there is a system of misogyny and abuse of women with all of this. Tina and Yopi are the poor women discarded, threatened, and harmed because of no one "caring" about them.

Ginger and her girls, they're all of these types of women.

Yopi: Everything I do is for you. Every choice I make is for you and him, and that’s all you’ll ever have to know.

🔗 permalink: Everything iIdo is for you. Every choice I make is for you and him, and that’s all you’ll…

Victoria, Margaret, and Becky are the women who lose themselves, their identity, and their power and agency while playing dutiful wives.

All of them are flawed, but they're all different variations of victims in their own right to power and men.

Yopi and the Girls - Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 6
    (Sam Lothridge/FOX)

The fear is that Yopi may end up dead like a former witness. The worst part about it is will anyone notice?

Margaret and Ginger are right about how women need to support and protect each other. It's for moments like this with the Yopis and Tinas.

It's much preferable than Ginger's weird form of solidarity coming in the form of investing in Rose's fashion line with blood money that came at the expense of so many people instead of doing something more charitable or logical with it.

    (Sam Lothridge/FOX)

    But Ginger's weird that way.
