Throughout the world, myths about redheads permeate every culture, with the most common being that those with fire-hued hair are crazy.

We here at TV Fanatic are rewriting that myth, effective right now. Redheads are crazy hot.

From drama to comedy, some of our favorite characters proudly rock their red hair and steal our hearts in the process. Behold, TV's hottest redheads!

Jayma Mays Promo Picture

Fun fact: Red hair is a result of a single genetic mutation, which means gingers are basically superheroes. Someone put Jensen Ackles in a cape and tights, STAT! (He totes has a red beard, guys. THAT COUNTS!)

Making up just 1-4% of the world's population, perhaps the on-screen number of redheads is in line with their real-world representation. But we don't care. MORE REDHEADS, PLEASE AND THANKS!

Those who made it into this gallery of redheads of the fictional world are proving that they're worthy of our biggest TV crushes. They're funny and flawless on screen (and probably off).

Now it's your turn, TV Fanatics! Who wins your vote for TV's hottest redhead? Sound off in the comments below!

On the season 3 finale of Body of Proof, when Megan's father's body is exhumed it leaves her with more questions than answers concerning what caused his death.

Daddy Issues” brought Body of Proof full circle, as Megan Hunt finally got answers concerning her father’s death… and made some decisions about her future.

There was plenty to enjoy in this hour. Megan was finally able to exhume her father’s remains, only to find they weren’t there. That was the moment I knew that whatever happened to David Hunt, his wife wasn’t involved.

Exhumation
(ABC)

I had always wondered why Joan fought so vehemently to keep the details surrounding her husband’s death a secret. But I suppose it was simply the guil of a grieving widow who believed she should have seen the signs in her supposedly suicidal husband.

When Joan heard that his body had gone missing, she was truly shocked and finally understood that Megan’s suspicions were correct. It was quite the turn around from the anger she’d been exuding over Megan’s investigation.

Tommy certainly stepped up his game. Even though Megan had previously told him they were over, he still wouldn’t leave her side. He was there when the exhumation took place and I appreciated when he told Megan that she could still walk away and keep the picture of her father the way he was in her mind.

Megan’s answer was perfect. What was left in that casket (or should have been left in it) wasn’t who David Hunt was, it was simply what little was left behind.

The finale also gave us insights into many of out other favorite characters.

Ethan was considering field work. Curtis admitted how much he loved exactly what he was doing right now and had no intention of leaving. And Kate had second thoughts about her political career, which was a relief considering how much I’d despised that story line all season.

It’d been so long since we’d seen Kate work on a facial reconstruction that I’d all but forgotten that it was her speciality. Curtis was right. It may have been the first time we saw her truly smile all year.

On top of it all, we had a myriad of suspects. Earl Brown was a suitably creepy serial killer who couldn’t wait to relive the memory of his kills. That was the greatest tell that he was indeed speaking the truth when he said he hadn’t murdered Lindsey. If he had, he would have relished sharing every sick and gory detail.

But this was where things got a little murky. I figured that retired Detective Fitz wasn’t the killer because he seemed too obvious. However it was difficult to watch Megan burst in on Tommy’s interrogation. She just couldn’t trust him to do his job and get results.

More often than not, Megan’s stubborn independence and need to do every job herself blinds her to other ways of getting it done.

As much as I loved Trent Marsh in the past, his introduction here felt a bit off. As if they were trying too hard to find a place for him within this story. But I did like his conversation with Megan in the parking garage. It was as though she were speaking to the Grim Reaper himself. If she had pointed him in the right direction, he would have gladly killed for her. I had to agree with his assessment in this Body of Proof quote…

Trent: What punishment could possibly be fitting enough for the one who inexcusably robbed you of what was so dear? | permalink

The problem was the no punishment or revenge would ever bring back what was lost or replace the decades of pain Megan had already endured.

Just as I was pleasantly surprised that Police Chief Martin was acting human for the first time all season, I found out it was all a ruse. Story wise her explanation made sense. But the answers all came a little too fast to be truly satisfying. Unfortunately that may have simply been the downfall of only having a 13 episode this season.

But I am incredibly grateful that we and Megan found the answers she’d been searching for for so long. And I was thrilled that she finally saw the man Tommy had become instead of the one she had left 20 years before. He’s been steadfastly standing by her all season, even when anyone else would have run in the opposite direction.

Their final scene practically had me in tears. It’s about time Megan was truly able to let her walls down and take comfort in someone else. I couldn’t be happier that that person was Tommy.

I’m truly saddened that this is the end of Body of Proof. Season 3 has been the best of the series so far and this finale only makes me want to know what comes next for these wonderfully quirky, original characters. Sometimes, the TV gods are just plain cruel.

-An unidentified body with no hands and a disfigured face sends Kate back to the morgue to perform a facial reconstruction. She begins to wonder why she left this work and decided to try for public office.

-Megan and Tommy exhume her father’s casket but there is no body inside. Megan goes through all of her father’s belongings and finds a key that opens a hidden compartment in his study.

-Inside the compartment they find the medical file of Lindsey Pratt, a woman who was murdered the day before Megan’s father died.

-Lindsey Pratt was said to have been killed by a serial killer but Megan proves that the causes of death were different and that Lindsey was actually killed by an outdated police choke hold.

-Megan believes the lead detective who is now retired, Glen Fitz killed Lindsey and her father because her father found the true cause of death.

-Trent Marsh follows Megan and offers to kill her father’s killer. Megan tells him she will take Fitz down legally.

-Megan goes to the Police Captain and tell her she has proof that Fitz was involved.  The Captain pulls a gun on Megan. When the Captain was a rookie, she killed Lindsey when a fight over a boyfriend went wrong. Det. Fitz’s partner covered it up.

-The Captain killed David Hunt, and later killed Detective Fitz to cover it up. She’s about to kill Megan when Trent Marsh shoots and kills her, saving Megan.  Then he disappears and no one can find him.

-Megan later goes to Tommy. She says she needs to forgive the past and she realizes how much he’s been there for her. She wonders why he’s put up with her. He says she’s worth it and they kiss.

Breakout” was a bit of an odd episode to review and it took a little research to figure out why.

Apparently, it was filmed as the third episode of the season, or so I’ve read, which would explain some character interactions that made little sense in the given time line of the show.

Prisoner Escape
(ABC)

I don’t know why the powers that be chose to wait to show this episode now as the second to last of the season, but I found the disjointed character arcs jarring to watch.

First off Megan was, to put it bluntly, more of a b*tch than we’ve seen her be in a while. She’s obviously mellowed somewhat over the course of Body of Proof season 3 because I found her scenes with Ethan and Adam particularly harsh.

Megan and Adam were just getting to know one another here and I appreciated that although he was uncomfortable with her questioning, he stood up to her and didn’t back down. I wish we had seen this sooner in the year as it added some depth to their current relationship of which we weren’t previously aware.

Tommy and Megan’s working relationship was also quite new as well. Again, it was another distraction that took away from my enjoyment of the show.

But enough on the timeline issues. Let’s talk about the case…

When Robert Riley broke out of that prison van, I kept hoping that it would take more than a paperclip to pop open prison handcuffs. If not I’d think we’d have suspects and escaped convicts running amok.

Megan’s reluctance to have a protection detail was simply annoying. Wasn’t her daughter kidnapped this season? Wouldn’t that cause any rational person to act more cautiously. Well, anyone but Megan.

As Tommy said in this Body of Proof quote…

Tommy: You know, for a smart woman you can be pretty damn stupid sometimes. | permalink

I thought he was being kind. A convicted murderer whom she testified against was on the loose with a possible revenge agenda and Megan ditched the one person sent to protect her. Stupid was an understatement.

In the end, I felt for Robert Riley. He lost his girlfriend and four years of his life. I even felt a little sorry for Emmet Harrington. His wife cheated on him, was murdered and his next wife just got carted off to prison for the crime. I suppose money can’t buy happiness…but it can buy off witnesses and even the occasional District Attorney.

The DA came off as more a a deceptive villain here instead of just the smarmy politician we’d seen most of this season. I didn’t think I could like him less. I was wrong. And after his dirty tactics on this case I think even less of Kate for continuing to play his game.

One of the scenes that made me the happiest was Ethan and Curtis saying they had plans to see “Raiders of the Lost Ark” on an IMAX screen in a 70mm print. My first reaction was that I wanted to join them. My next was to question whether such a thing really exists. I’ll be Googling it after I post this review.

With ABC announcing the show’s cancellation I was even more disappointed that this was one of my least favorite Body of Proof episodes in what has otherwise been a stellar season. Perhaps if they had kept the original order, I wouldn’t feel that way.

I’ve got my fingers crossed that the rumors of a cable network picking up the series may work out but either way, I look forward to the season – or should I say SERIES – finale in two weeks.

Yes, the official HBO synopsis teases that King’s Landing will host a ceremony (for Tyrion and Sansa, we presume), while Davos will require some proof from Melisandre; Sam and Gilly will come across and older man; and Daenerys will run into Titan’s Bastard in her attempt to acquire 200,000 new slaves.

Mother’s Day is here and as we celebrate all that this important person has done for us, TV Fanatics know that not everyone got quite so lucky in the parental department.

As the following list of TV mothers clearly reveals, maternal instincts don’t always come naturally.  From lies and manipulation to outright abandonment, help us decide which of these mothers should earn the title of worst mother currently on TV.

——————————————-

Victoria Grayson (Revenge)  It was bad enough when Charlotte had to listen to her mother say out loud that she wished she had never been born. But Victoria went on to manipulate both of her children and attempt to ruin their love lives. Now we’ve found out she has another child which she gave away in order to fly to Paris on an art scholarship, and then paid him off years later to stay gone.  Somehow I don’t see a Mother’s Day card in Victoria’s mailbox this year.

Cersei Lannister (Game of Thrones) She’s the mother of Joffrey Baratheon. Do we really need to say anything more? Cersei’s incestuous relationship with her brother and indulgent parenting created this unstable little psychopath. Then she did everything in her power to make him king.  As her brother Tyrion aptly said of young King Joffrey, “We’ve had vicious kings, and we’ve had idiot kings…but I don’t know if we’ve ever been cursed with a vicious idiot for a king!”

Closing the Well
(ABC)

Regina Mills (Once Upon a Time) The sad part is that in her own warped way, Regina loves Henry.  Unfortunately for Henry his adoptive mom is horrible at sharing…to the point of planning to destroy an entire town and murdering his biological family in order to have him all to herself.

Moira Queen (Arrow) Moira was responsible for her own son’s kidnapping. Yes, she can justify it by claiming it was to save his life but in the end, even the son who loves her has his doubts. Either way, Moira is in way over her head and there will be consequences to her actions.

Joan Hunt (Body of Proof) For decades Joan refused to discuss her husband’s suicide with anyone, even the man’s own daughter. She even went so far as to hide the his suicide note from authorities. Now that Megan’s all grown up and a medical examiner to boot, she wants answers. Instead of allowing her daughter to find some peace, Joan still insists on standing in her way…which leads us to wonder what exactly she’s hiding?

Marianne Booth (Bones)  Marianne dropped back into Seeley Booth’s life with a smile on her face, as though she hadn’t been gone for 24 years.  Acting as though leaving her two boys to fend for themselves against an abusive father while she took off to save herself was forgivable. The final insult…she seemingly had no trouble finding a new love and helped raise his kids while she was gone. That Seeley has let her back into his life certainly speaks of a strength of character he didn’t get from mom.

Who deserves TV Fanatic’s Mommy Dearest award this year?  Make your pick below and then let us know if we left anyone out in the comments below.

Dark City” featured everyone floundering in the dark in more ways than one, as Megan and Tommy continued their complicated dance.

Speaking of which, was anyone else tired of hearing them both say, “It’s complicated” or was it just me? This took place every time someone got to the point of explaining exactly why they were interrupted, leaving the audience frustrated by the lack of information.

Near Disaster
(ABC)

We know that Tommy cheated on Megan, but it’s about time we learned more details about what was obviously a passionate but disastrous affair decades earlier.

As much as I like Charlie, I was thrilled that he and Megan’s late evening out was disrupted, even if it was by a plane crash.

I’d like to see Charlie stick around, just not as Megan’s love interest. Perhaps he could help pull Kate back from her descent into political success and personal catastrophe.  Adam was right. Every week we witness Kate’s moral compass become more shaky.

Back to the plane crash: I never suspected the flight attendant. Talk about poor judgment. She drugged the one armed person on the plane. Maybe she should have read up on the possible side effects of that medication she was taking.

And Megan was right. How desperate was her husband to retrieve those drugs if he sabotaged a generator, stole a body, butchered it and then shoved it into an elevator shaft?!? That couldn’t have been quick. Didn’t anyone notice him missing?

I was grateful to get some more time with Curtis and Ethan. His obsession with apocalypse prep was funny, but I still don’t see how that could have helped him fix an industrial sized generator with cut wires.

When he hurt Ethan with the celebratory chest bump I had to laugh.

At Megan’s home I was proud of Lacey for confronting her grandmother – and although Joan’s speech about moving on sounded good, I’m still not convinced she’s not hiding something about her husband’s death.

But back to Megan and Tommy: It was satisfying to witness Megan realize how she’s treated Tommy recently in this Body of Proof quote…

Megan: I know exactly what my last words to him were and they weren’t poetry. They were trite, flippant and now I might never see him again. | permalink

Nothing like a near death experience to put things in perspective. As Megan stood there telling Charlie what she had planned, I knew it would never happen. Of course that didn’t mean some naive little part of me didn’t want to see Megan march right in and drag Tommy away from Riley.

With only a couple of episodes left until Body of Proof season 3 finale, I figure they will make us wait for any type of relationship resolution. I’ve got my fingers crossed for a happy ending. These two characters deserve it.

On Body of Proof, when a mentally ill teenager is murdered inside an institution, Megan and Tommy must figure if the story another patient is telling is the truth.

The post Body of Proof Review: It All Sounds Crazy appeared first on TV Fanatic.

Committed ” was creepy on so many levels, it’s hard to know where to begin.

From the bed check in the mental hospital to Tommy and Megan’s interviews with the patients, the entire scene was downright eerie. Even scarier was that Darby appeared to be the only sane person in the bunch.

Assessing the Story
(ABC)

At first I was taken in by her story as much as Megan, but Tommy’s voice of reason rang in my head. The girl was a mental patient. As sincere as she sounded, it could have all been a well rehearsed lie or just a crazy story she believed to be true.

About half way through I began to wonder if Darby had actually murdered her little sister… and it was sort of sickening to realize I was right. Darby turned out to be a sociopath who hated her baby sister because she seemingly got all of the attention.

The ease with which the girl slipped from innocent victim to monstrous murderer was terrifying. Even more menacing was what she could have done to Lacy while the two were alone.

Darby’s biggest mistake was pissing off Megan. As much as Megan hates being wrong, she hates being used even more. I had no doubt she would have shot Darby in the street if the girl had moved.

The investigation could have been labeled The Tommy and Megan Show as these two bantered back and forth as they searched for their killer. Despite the macabre setting, there exchanges such as in this Body of Proof quote made me smile…

Megan: Yeah, OK. You’re right.
Tommy: Say that again. I want to use it for my ringtone. | permalink

Riley definitely knew exactly what she was doing when she cornered Megan in the bathroom. She told Megan about her and Tommy’s one date in the hopes of stirring up trouble. I suddenly really disliked that girl.

Tommy and Megan make such a fun couple that it was heartbreaking to see her turn him away. How many times can she do that before he’s gone for good?

But Megan has a lot on her plate right now with her doubts about her father’s suicide. It was hard to tell if Joan was simply that upset by the thought of her late husband’s body being exhumed or if she actually has something to hide. I got the feeling she still hasn’t told Megan the whole truth about her father’s death.

When Megan asked Charlie for help, his response was just what she needed to hear…

Charlie: I trust your instincts. You tell me something’s off and I’ll believe you. | permalink

With everyone telling her that her speculations were far fetched, Megan once again felt like the little girl to whom no one was listening. It was nice to have someone she respected validate her feelings, messy though they may be.

The one thing I have grown tired of is Kate threatening to fire Megan every other episode. When Kate isn’t focused on her career in politics, she’s playing the mean boss looking to impede Megan’s investigations. The character is fast becoming repetitive and boring.

Do you think Tommy and Megan still have a chance? Will Charlie help her continue the investigation into her father’s suicide? And am I reading Joan wrong or is she hiding something? So many questions left unanswered until our next Body of Proof
