Network sources confirm that the critically-beloved, albeit ratings-challenged, sitcom has been yanked by Fox and will be replaced next week by a second episode of Raising Hope at 8:30/7:30c.

Raising Hope will double up again on February 5 and February 26, airing its one-hour season finale on March 28.

On March 12, Hell’s Kitchen will air at 8 p.m. on Tuesdays, leading into the New Girl and The Mindy Project.

The final episodes of Ben and Kate will likely be burned off this summer. We’re very sorry, TV Fanatics.

A full season has been ordered of both The Mindy Project (nine additional episodes) and Ben and Kate (six additional episodes), Kevin Reilly (Chairman of Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company) announced today in a statement.

“Ben and Kate and The Mindy Project have everything we want to stand for in comedy: smart writing, hugely appealing casts and comedy that feels contemporary and real – which is why we’re confident they will continue to build on what is already an appointment comedy night for young, influential audiences on Tuesdays,” said Reilly.

Ben and Kate, which centers on a brother and sister raising the latter’s daughter, airs at 8:30 p.m. EST, while The Mindy Project, which focused on an OB-GYN and her search for love, follows at 9:30 p.m. EST.
