According to Variety, the media conglomerate will no longer develop scripted content on the cable networks, leaving the fate of their shows up in the air.

TNT's most popular show is Snowpiercer, which currently has a fourth season in production.

That show has an output deal outside the U.S. with Netflix, while the series has a streaming window on HBO Max domestically.

The other remaining scripted show on TNT is Animal Kingdom, which is gearing up to launch its final season later this year.

TNT has been scaling back scripted content over the last few years, so it's no surprise that the cabler is turning its back on scripted content.

The only remaining scripted originals on TBS are The Last OG, Miracle Workers, Chad, and American Dad.

Chad was supposed to return for its second season earlier this month, but fans were shocked when the cabler nixed the premiere date at the last minute.

It's possible a new strategy will be employed for the sure, possibly involving a move to HBO Max.

American Dad is a big performer, so it's likely that show will continue in another capacity.

Deadline reported today that the TBS comedy series Kill the Orange-Faced Bear has been canceled weeks before commencing production.

The Damon Wayans Jr. comedy was set to span 10 episodes, but the cast and crew learned of the fate earlier today.

The good news is that the show will be shopped elsewhere, so it could pop up at another destination.

The deal on Warner Bros. Discovery closed earlier this year, and this is the latest in a list of changes.

CNN+ was recently announced to be closing down, less than a month after launch.

The streaming service launched on March 29 with a wide array of programming featuring CNN staples.

American Dad airs on TBS after initially being canceled on Fox in 2014.

Created by Seth MacFarlane, Mike Barker, and Matt Weitzman, American Dad follows the Smith family to deal with never-ending antics.

Stan Smith (Seth MacFarlane) is a CIA agent painfully dedicated to homeland security.

His home life includes doting wife Francine (Wendy Schaal), a ditzy housewife, liberal daughter Hayley (Rachael MacFarlane), and socially awkward teenage son Steve (Scott Grimes).

Living with the family is Klaus (Dee Bradley Baker), a goldfish with the brain of an East German Olympic ski jumper, and Roger (Seth MacFarlane), an escaped alien from Area 51.

The Smiths have already gone through a lot of shenanigans, like Hayley's boyfriend Jeff (Jeff Fischer) being sent to space, Roger "birthing" a mini-alien named Rogu (Baker), and plenty of other science-fiction occurrences.

After hitting 300 episodes in season 15 (becoming the 25th scripted primetime show in history to achieve that mark), we wonder if American Dad will run out of wackiness.

Luckily, it doesn't seem like it because the show is already renewed for Season 18 and Season 19.

Rachael MacFarlane gave TV Fanatic an inside look at Season 17 and the feelings going into another year of this long-running animated sitcom.

We also discussed her successful career as a voice actress and her recording process for Hayley Smith.

Rachael MacFarlane is no stranger to vocal work and has worked as a voice actress for over 20 years.

She's lent her voice to classic children's animated series like The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Family Guy, and many more animated shows!

Seeing how intelligent Marco is, Hayley starts resenting Jeff for not being clever.

Hayley learns that she is missing out on things that she wants to do due to Jeff's lack of intelligence.

Later, Hayley says Marco's name instead of Jeff's name during sex. They argue, and Hayley calls him "dumb," which causes him to storm out.

Jeff takes a walk to clear his head and runs into Stan out on a drive. Stan reveals he's collecting animals for the CIA Doctor, and Jeff joins him in the car.

Roger is at the hospital after getting bit by a snake, helping Stan get animals. He gets the bill and learns that it's so high because of the anti-venom.

Roger gets the idea to harvest venom from the Doctor after learning that he could make a boatload of money.

Stan and Jeff arrive at the C.I.A. and discuss that the Doctor is experimenting trying to increase intelligence, and Jeff wants the Doctor to do it to him.

Jeff runs into a C.I.A. agent, who tells him that a relationship with someone more intelligent than him won't last. This prompts Jeff to swiftly head down to the C.I.A. doctor to volunteer as his first human subject.

Hayley arrives before Jeff get's the procedure done, but signs on and allows Jeff to continue.

The procedure is a success, and Jeff is suddenly a smart person.

Jeff speaks French, and can create beautiful pieces of art. Danuta invites them to Johanna's lakehouse!

Roger tricked steve into hunting for venomous snakes to harvest their venom. They both get attacked by a snake, and get bitten a LOT.

At Johanna's house, Jeff impresses everyone while Hayley embarrass herself. Jeff gets angry at Hayley, and leaves her.

Hayley falls into a slump, and moves on to a worse, disgusting new boyfriend who is borderline abusive.

Danuta calls Hayley and tells her that Marco has been missing. Hayley finds out that every male winner of the game show has gone missing. Smart Jeff dismisses this info as a conspiracy theory.

Hayley drives off, and Johanna comes in and knocks Jeff out.

Roger tries to convince Steve to continue snake hunting, but Steve refuses.

Roger constantly fails at getting the venom, and it is revealed that he alone depleted the world's entire supply of anti-venom.

Jeff wakes up and he is chained up in a strange looking basement.

Johanna reveals their plan, to harvest semen of the smartest men and create a superiorly intelligent race.

Jeff pleas for his life, but it doesn't work. Suddenly Hayley bursts in, with Myron, and uses him to attack the cult members.

Hayley and Jeff hide in a closet, and they both may lose their life.

Jeff wants to be dumb again, so that he could think of something stupid to out-stupid them. He gives himself a lobotomy, and goes back to being dumb.

The stupid plan involves converting themselves in vasseline to become invisible. It works because they're slippery, not because they became invisible.

Jeff accidentally destroys the machine, which explodes the giant tank of samples.

It's a proud day to be an… American Dad!! The super patriotic CIA patriarch will be back with the misadventures of his family who give his values a run for their money as the series was just renewed by TBS for two full seasons of 22 episodes each.

The series was Seth MacFarlane, Mike Barker and Matt Weitzman, and MacFarlane provides the voice of American Dad, Stan Smith.

The double renewal is part of TBS' plans to grow their original slate of programming. Kevin Reilly, president of TBS and TNT and chief creative officer for Turner Entertainment, talked about the overhaul at the upfront in May.

Their initial desires are to expand their slate to include over 15 shows carrying their own, unique brand with a focus on original live-action and animated comedies that are, in Reilly's words, "awesomely in-your-face."

In conjunction with the season 12 premiere of American Dad! (which moved to TBS from Fox in 2014) and the launches of the brand new TBS comedies Angie Tribeca and The Detour.

When Stan witnesses a couple die in car crash on American Dad Season 12 Episode 12, he's utterly horrified and books an appointment with a shrink (guest star Ted Dansen) to talk it over.

To make it even worse, Stan feels as if it was his fault because he gave the cab in which the couple (who was pregnant) died to them as a courtesy. While he was busily patting himself on the back for his good deed, they were killed.

In good old double entendre fashion, once home, Stan decides to shrink himself and get lost inside a plastic world where everything is easy and peaceful. Or is it?
