We've got an exclusive The Irrational Season 2 Episode 7 sneak peek and some thoughts about what it means for Marisa.

One of the best things about The Irrational Season 2 is that we’ve gotten a closer look at Marisa and Kylie and the work they do together at the FBI.

Marisa will get an important storyline related to her work during The Irrational‘s midseason finale, which airs on December 3.

TV Fanatic has an exclusive sneak peek of The Irrational Season 2 Episode 7, which features a scene between Marisa and her new boss. While the woman is friendly enough, Marisa is disappointed in what she has to say.

Marisa Works Hard… Maybe Too Hard

During the exclusive sneak peek, Marisa’s new boss tells her that she’s been doing excellent work but that she’s been doing too much of it.

She’s cutting Marisa’s hours.

This is going to be very difficult for Marisa, who seems to be married to her job.

This could partially be a matter of trying to escape the pain of her boyfriend’s death on The Irrational Season 1 Episode 11. It’s easier to focus on her current job than on her pain.

However, her work also helps make the world a better place, and she loves it. She won’t want to cut her hours.

Of course, if Marisa works fewer hours, she could still unofficially help Alec with his cases, but it wouldn’t be as satisfying as being the lead agent in charge of investigations.

Plus, it will be harder to help with cases if she is not supposed to be working.

Marisa Turned Down The Supervisory Role On The Irrational

Marisa could have been the supervisor herself, but she rejected that role in favor of continuing to be an agent who is out in the field — will she regret that?

Even FBI supervisors have to answer to somebody, so she might have ended up in this situation anyway. But if she were in a more supervisory role, she wouldn’t tell herself to cut back her hours!

Of course, then she might not be able to work directly on cases and would have to deal with all sorts of unfun and non-case-related stuff, like department budgets and how closely each agent is meeting their targets, which she wouldn’t be happy about.

Still, this unwelcome news about how many hours she’s allowed to work will upset Marisa and likely leave her questioning her decisions and trying to decide what her options are.

The Irrational Season 2 Episode 7 sneak peek doesn’t include her reaction — just the news itself.

You’ll have to tune in to find out how she gets around this!

Meanwhile, Alec Has Another Fascinating Case

While the sneak peek focuses on Marisa, there’s a lot more happening during The Irrational Season 2 Episode 7.

Alec will again be working with Rose. It’s the first time they’ve worked together since he convinced her not to run away from their potential relationship out of fear that he could get hurt or killed by someone who hates her.

The case has to do with a K-Pop superfan who is killed — and the star they idolized who is the prime suspect in their murder.

Things are never what they seem on The Irrational, so you can bet that that’s not who killed the victim, but this case should offer a peek into the nature of stardom and the danger (to both parties) of idolizing and obsessing over your favorite stars.

(NBC/Sergei Bachlakov)

Alec and Rose will put Rizwan, Phoebe, and Simon to work — or at least Phoebe and Rizwan.

Simon alternates between inserting himself into situations and thinking he’s not good enough, and this The Irrational Season 2 Episode 7 sneak peek doesn’t offer any clues as to which it will be this time.

I’m also curious about what experiments into human nature Alec will use to help him understand what happened.

In this exclusive sneak peek, Dr. Wolf finally tells Carol that he's dating Dr. Josh Nichols. Check out this awkward talk.

]]>
Bronx Hospital has been buzzing about the new glow in Dr. Wolf. While the audience has seen the relationship between Dr. Wolf and Dr. Nichols blossom, none of his colleagues know the news yet.

At the end of Brilliant Minds Season 1 Episode 8, the two men discussed their relationship and decided to try it for real, despite warnings from Oliver’s mom.

As you’ll see in this clip exclusive to TV Fanatic, Dr. Wolf tells Dr. Carol Pierce that he’s dating Dr. Nichols. This is a massive step for him because he’s always avoided serious relationships previously.

(Rafy/ NBC)

This is a big deal because Carol has known Wolf since college and is aware of his dating life or lack thereof.

Brilliant Minds Season 1 Episode 10 looks drama-filled for Wolf and Carol. It seems that Wolf and Nichols grew even closer when Nichols returned from his conference.

In the exclusive sneak peek below, we get our first taste of Carol’s reaction to her best friend having his first serious relationship.

As you’ll see, Wolf is shocked by her reaction. Carol’s drama must be getting to her.

Wolf and Nichols’s relationship has been an essential part of the series. Even when rivals, they had a grudging respect for one another. In time, that grew into friendship and then more.

They’ve both been scared to jump into anything serious, Wolf especially. Carol has told him for years that he should lower his walls to allow someone to see him.

After he complained about Nichols, she was bound to be surprised by this turnaround.

In his exclusive interview with TV Fanatic, Teddy Sears teased that “there is attraction, attention, and deep respect, a firm foundation for something substantial, not just fleeting. We’re going to explore that going forward.”

(Rafy/ NBC’)

He also teased that their relationship will be tested later this season when they disagree on how to treat an ailing patient, but they will learn to work together.

As Wolf and Nichols grow closer, Carol’s marriage falls further apart, which is probably why she doesn’t want to comment on other people’s relationships.

After Brilliant Minds Season 1 Episode 9‘s cliffhanger and Carol finding her car vandalized, it makes sense why she’s on edge.

Typically, Carol thrives on giving advice, but psychiatrists often have difficulty taking their own advice. She counseled her husband’s mistress and now questions Morris’s loyalty.

(Rafy/ NBC)

With only a few episodes left of Brilliant Minds Season 1, will the series have the two reconcile or separate them so that Carol is fierce and single in a potential second season?

Outside of that, the team treats an unexpected patient who crashes into Bronx General with life-threatening symptoms.

Most of these cases always affect one of the doctors, and this one affects a first responder and a child, so it’ll be interesting to see who it affects.

Only a few doctors have children, and we’d love to see more development on that other dangling cliffhanger thread.

(Rafy/ NBC)

Brilliant Minds has excelled at featuring both unique cases and crafting genuine chemistry among the relationships.

Check out the clip above, and share your predictions about how Wolf and Nichols’s relationship will evolve now that it is public.

What do you hope to see?

As always, we’ll return after the episode airs with our in-depth review, so be sure to return Monday night for our thoughts on the episode.

Brilliant Minds airs at 10/9c on NBC on Mondays and streams on Peacock on the next day.

The post Murder in a Small Town Season 1 Episode 8 Exclusive Clip & Spoilers: How is the Art Teacher Involved? appeared first on TV Fanatic.

]]>
The Murder in a Small Town Season 1 finale is on Tuesday, and Karl and his team are determined to catch the demented serial killer who carved and posed those poor women.

The weekly promo and spoiler photos for Murder in a Small Town Season 1 Episode 8 suggest that Devon and Holly may be his next victims if the Gibsons police department doesn’t catch him quickly.

It will be a high-stakes case as they try to identify Jane Doe and protect their own from someone who has them fooled.

(Kailey Schwerman/ FOX)

Is Mr. Cummins a Mentor or a Predator?

Were Karl’s instincts wrong? Sid warned him about using an unknown civilian, and even creepy Jesse sensed something was off with the art teacher. Were they right?

Tommy Cummins took an interest in Devon, which I assumed was because she’s an aspiring young artist.

I didn’t want to see any more sexual grooming stories beyond a mentor-mentee relationship. But with the weekly promo and these spoiler photos, something seems off.

Cummins has taken Devon to his private studio, which ordinarily she would have loved, but she looks uncomfortable and he has a black eye.

(Kailey Schwerman/ FOX)

That makes me concerned that she’s in danger because she’s always trusted him.

Both Noah Reid and Alisha Newton (My Life With the Walter Boys) have been excelling in their layered performances, and we can’t wait to see what happens next.

Discerning a Pattern With the Murders

Karl and his team examine the murders and discover a pattern to these crimes. They look to be spaced an even amount of years, and they’re all posed a certain way.

If they can identify Jane Doe, it may help them since it will explain why she was in Gibsons and who she knew.

None of the murder victims over the years looked alike, so the similarity between Janice Doncaster and Jane Doe was a fluke.

(Kailey Schwerman/ FOX)

We still don’t know how the real murderer chooses his targets, but the spoilers tease that some of those poses match familiar works of art.

That makes the number one suspect even more straightforward but even more dangerous for Devon.

The Killer Threatens Holly

The weekly promo hints that the killer is sadistic and enjoys taking time with his victims.

He says nothing is more personal than comforting someone as the light leaves their eyes.

From most people, that would sound endearing, but not as a voice-over from a killer, especially when he taunts that Holly is missing.

Again, that leads us to think that if Karl is dealing with one suspect, maybe another is involved.

While Karl would do anything for any Gibsons resident, we know he’ll work extra hard to protect his daughter and her best friend.

With the locals starting to doubt his competency, he’ll use everything he can to capture the killer in time.

(FOX/ YouTube Screenshot)

Cassandra Thinks Roger is Involved

We have a special treat for you again. FOX gave TV Fanatic an exclusive clip of the season that teased Cassandra going to Karl about Roger.

We don’t want to spoil too much, but it looks like Roger is still a suspect in the murders, or he thinks he is since he asked Cassandra to lie about his whereabouts after taking her car.

We’re relieved Cassandra went straight to Karl instead of listening to him.

Check out the exclusive clip, and let us know if you think Karl and Cassandra shared a moment or if it was all business.

The weekly promo also showed Sid and Corporal Yen cornering Roger on the street. They probably found female DNA in his car belonging to the woman he was following in Murder in a Small Town Season 1 Episode 7.

While Mr. Cummins is likely the main suspect, perhaps Roger is his accomplice. Maybe he did it to make Karl look bad since the women looked disgruntled at the last press conference.

More importantly, Cassandra doesn’t trust Karl much anymore.

Will Karl and Cassandra Realize They’re in Love and Reunite?

Karl and Cassandra have been apart since the end of Murder in a Small Town, Season 1 Episode 6. However, it’s apparent that they still care for each other.

In that exclusive clip, Karl was worried about her safety and still wanted to protect her. He continued to show what a kind man he was, in contrast to the mistakes Roger kept making.

(FOX/ YouTube Screenshot)

Hopefully, Cassandra realizes she loves Karl and finds a way to deal with his career since being a cop is who he is.

We’d hate to end the season with them broken up, wondering if they’ll ever reconcile, but we’re rooting for them.

Season finales are always tricky.

We hope they provide enough closure so that the audience is satisfied, but they also need to be open-ended enough to allow for new stories.

(Kailey Schwerman/ FOX)

Over to you, TV Fanatics. What are you looking forward to watching in the Murder in a Small Town season finale?

Do you think Mr. Cummins or Roger is the murder suspect?

There’s a new member on the 118 team during 9-1-1 Season 8 Episode 8, and he’s got a very recognizable face.

Brad Torrence, Hotshots star and thorn in Bobby’s side, not only “joined” the 118 at the tail end of 9-1-1 Season 8 Episode 7, but he’s now suiting up for calls! What could possibly go wrong?

As you’ll see in this clip exclusive to TV Fanatic, the 118 is called to the scene of an emergency where an explosion of wastewater has left a mess of accidents, and Brad’s ready to get his hands dirty.

The team arrives to the scene of an explosive emergency during 9-1-1 Season 8 Episode 8.
(Disney/Ray Mickshaw)

Brad’s arrival at the firehouse was unexpected for Bobby and the rest of the team.

But the midseason finale promises to show us just how his addition to the tight-knit squad works out for everyone.

In this exclusive clip below, we get our first little taste of that: a serious emergency for the crew.

As you’ll see, Brad’s pretty excited to get in on the action.

The Hotshots storyline has been a steady presence throughout the first half of this season, and the midseason looks to offer more of the same, as Brad sees the up close and personal side of what it means to be a real firefighter, not just pretend to be one on TV.

As 9-1-1 showrunner Tim Minear previewed for us last week in our exclusive interview, “You’re going to see some chaos, and then you’re going to see some of that bluster and façade kind of stripped away, and you’re going to see maybe the real man underneath.

“And it’s The Wizard of Oz, right? It’s like, ‘If you ever go looking for your heart’s desire, don’t look any further than your own backyard.’ His life may have meaning that he doesn’t even understand that maybe he will learn.”

Brad’s foray into actual firefighting will undoubtedly be a learning experience for the famous actor, who may also have to deal with the realities of being recognized while on a call.

Brad looks on at the scene in front of him during 9-1-1 Season 8 Episode 8.
(Disney/Ray Mickshaw)

The actor seems to revel in the spotlight, though, so if that were to arise again, it’ll be fascinating to see how he navigates that.

But Brad won’t be the only person with a significant role in the closing hour of 2024, as Athena finds herself dealing with the assault of a man found behind a grocery store.

Athena thrives when tasked to helm an investigation, and this one will surely be no different.

Outside of that, some lingering plot points will be addressed, as Minear also told us, “What I would say is that episode eight this year is more kind of tying up some story threads that have been set up in the first eight episodes.”

We can think of a few story threads we’d like to see more development on (hint, hint: hello, Mr. Diaz), but we’ll have to see what the installment has in store for us before we dive into the hiatus.

Buck and Eddie help out while the water falls during 9-1-1 Season 8 Episode 8.

9-1-1 Season 8 Episode 9 will return on March 6, 2025, but before we get too sad about that reality, we still have another hour of the veteran drama to devour!

Check out the clip above, and hit the comments with all your predictions about what the midseason finale will bring.

What are you hoping to see?

As always, we’ll be back after the episode airs with an in-depth review of the hour and our thoughts about what could come when the show returns.

]]>
There are only two episodes left of Murder in a Small Town Season 1.

The final two episodes are the season finale, and the spoilers for Murder in a Small Town Season 1 Episode 7 suggest a high-stakes murder is in play.

This is the second episode without source material, but the final episode is from one of L. R. Wright’s novels, so they’re probably related.

(Kailey Schwerman/ FOX)

The Team Finds a Body in the Forest

There is something eerie and frightening about finding a dead woman in the forest. To make matters worse, she had flowers placed around her.

This suggested that someone cared enough to redress the body and pose the victim. While the set-up initially reminded me of a demented fairytale, it was very sick and violent instead.

The weekly promo almost suggests the victims were hung from a tree and attacked. That piercing scream haunts me.

It also suggests that the victim was attacked so badly that her cheek was cracked and her bones were fractured.

This killer meant business, and Karl seemed positive he would kill more women.

This Serial Killer Storyline Seems Oddly Familiar

This serial killer storyline seems oddly familiar. Granted, I watch way too many procedurals, but it feels oddly similar to the serial killer storyline in Will Trent’s Season 2 finale.

How this one will differ is these are female victims that a male perpetrator is obsessed with.

It’s disturbing that these bodies are violently dismembered with either a hammer or a carving knife.

Could that be a hint? I wonder if he’s a butcher. He’d know how to carve animals. People would be an easy next step.

As the bodies pile up, Karl is positive that they’re looking for a serial killer and turns to someone else for help.

(Kailey Schwerman/ FOX)

Karl Reaches Out To Cassandra for Help

We have a special treat for you this week. FOX gave TV Fanatic an exclusive clip that teases Karl, asking Cassandra to help solve the multiple murders.

We don’t want to spoil too much, but we’re relieved that he felt he could still ask for assistance after they broke up and that she teased him about needing an artist recommendation when that’s his specialty.

Often, the police use sketch artists to help identify suspects, so Karl is taking it further by ensuring they have the best to catch the serial killer.

Cassandra recommends high school art teacher Tommy Cummins. Viewers will recognize the actor Noah Reid from Schitt’s Creek.

Since they have an amicable conversation, does that mean there is hope for these two?

Check out the exclusive clip, and weigh in with your thoughts.

Combining Artistic and Detective Skills to Solve the Case

Previously, Karl mentioned that you could discern a lot about someone by their eyes. He learned that from his mother, who used to paint portraits.

I suspect that is why he wants to hire a portrait painter. He wants someone to paint various suspects.

The official Murder in a Small Town promo showed Karl painting a portrait to examine various gazes to find their suspect.

Combined with Corporal Yen’s investigative skills, that could narrow down the suspect field. We saw in Murder in a Small Town Season 1 Episode 6 how quickly she saw through mind games.

Edwina is a pro at deciphering actual suspects, and we can’t wait to watch her continue to shine.

(Kailey Schwerman/ FOX)

This Murder Affects Corporal Yen The Most

Most murders upset the police force, but there is something about finding dismembered women that hits female cops.

Corporal Yen has seen her share of murders, but this one is pure evil. They need to learn why he attacked these women or if the victims knew each other.

It looked like a passionate killing by the amount of violence.

It also suggests the murderer was working with a partner or someone else found the bodies since they were redressed with care.

Since this is a two-part finale, the team will likely still be putting the pieces together near the end of this episode.

(FOX/ YouTube Screenshot)

Why is Roger Galbraith Back?

According to the cast sheet, Roger Galbraith (Lucas Bryant) returns for the two-part season finale. Was I the only one hoping we had seen the last of him in Murder of a Small Town Season 1 Episode 3?

While we have no spoilers for why Roger has returned, he’s a pro with small-town gossip and likely heard that Cassandra and Karl broke up.

I suspect he returned to make another play on Cassandra. Hopefully, she’s smart enough to realize he’s still playing games and that it is not right for her.

I’d rather Cassandra stay single while considering what she needs before reuniting with Karl.

(FOX/ YouTube Screenshot)

Hopefully, Roger didn’t have anything to do with the murders. While he’s an annoying gossip, I didn’t peg him as a murderer.

Over to you, TV Fanatics. What are you looking forward to in Murder in a Small Town Season 1 Episode 7?

Are you intrigued by the multiple murders? Are you relieved that Karl and Cassandra are still talking?

There’s a significant adjustment period for those who crash-land into the town on FROM. We’ve seen those early days a few times with varying results.

When Officer Acosta entered the town with Tabitha and Henry during FROM Season 3 Episode 4, she came in firing and unfortunately left a casualty in her wake.

Now that she’s had some time to digest the situation, she wants to do more, but as you’ll see in this exclusive clip of FROM Season 3 Episode 7, she may be in for a rude awakening.

Kenny has some advice for Acosta during FROM Season 3 Episode 7.
(Courtesy of MGM+)

When the Matthews arrived during FROM Season 1 Episode 1, we saw their fear and reluctant acceptance of the town and everything that’s transpired since then.

Jim’s radio theory went badly, and Tabitha’s trip into the woods, which yielded short-term results until she found herself right back in town, showed their various quests to free their family from the terrifying town.

Everyone wants to go home, and we’ve seen various expeditions. But that’s the thing.

EVERYONE wants to go home, and different things have been tried, but it’s not that simple.

Kenny and Boyd catch up during FROM Season 3 Episode 5.
(Chris Reardon/MGM+)

As you’ll see in the FROM clip, Kenny, a seasoned vet at this point, tells Acosta everything she doesn’t want to hear, though he’s speaking from a place of supreme experience.

He’s been there long enough to see many people come into town and think they’ll be the ones to figure things out. And he’s been there long enough to know to see that, unfortunately, nothing has changed.

If anything, times have gotten much worse as of late.

Acosta may mean well, but she doesn’t get it…yet. Though, maybe after this kind of talk with Kenny, she’ll start to understand things a little bit better.

Acosta listens in to the town meeting during FROM Season 3 Episode 5.
(Chris Reardon/MGM+)

Elsewhere during this hour, we’ll see the fallout from the big non-pregnancy reveal and what that could mean for Fatima.

Finding out the news during FROM Season 3 Episode 6 was a major blow for Fatima and Ellis, who were searching for answers about Fatima’s mysterious cravings.

Finding out that, at the very least, the baby isn’t showing up on an ultrasound only adds to the confusion and terror.

We’ll also see a little forage into the forest, with the Matthews and Jade embarking on a little trip to the site near the food and the three stones, which have unlocked a memory in Tabitha.

Jim and Tabitha have a talk in the woods during FROM Season 3 Episode 7.
(Chris Reardon/MGM+)

The trip into the woods could prove fruitful if Tabitha can unlock anything else and shed some light on the kids she keeps seeing.

There will also be continued follow-up on Randall and Julie hanging out and perhaps confiding in one another about their shared experiences.

We haven’t seem too much of this pair over time, so it’ll be interesting to see what they get up to.

What’s the worst that could happen there?

Fatima still has her cravings during FROM Season 3 Episode 7.
(Chris Reardon/MGM+)

With only four more episodes this season, we expect this to be another thought-provoking and creepy hour of our favorite sci-fi horror show!

Make sure to check out the clip below and comment with your thoughts about Kenny’s words of wisdom.

And let us know what you’re looking forward to seeing in this installment!

After a brief hiatus, Rescue HI-Surf Season 1 Episode 7 looks like a busy hour full of rescues (duh!) and LOTS of personal drama.

So, it’s a typical hour for the newest FOX hit!

TV Fanatic scored a sneak peek of the newest hour, which sees Em race to the beach when a newly married couple gets swept away by the tide.

Em arrives to the scene of an interesting rescue during Rescue: HI-Surf Season 1 Episode 6.
(Zach Dougan/FOX)

If you thought maybe the couple were taking a nice little dive into the water, bathing suits and all, you would be incorrect.

When Em arrives on the scene, she sees the couple wearing clothes, which is perfectly fine but a little peculiar since they’re pretty far out in the water.

She will definitely need assistance from Will and Laka to help sort this rescue out!

After Rescue: HI-Surf Season 1 Episode 6, we’ll have to see if Sonny has returned to work after taking a mini-sabbatical amid Rocky’s death.

Sonny readies himself for a busy day during Rescue: HI-Surf Season 1 Episode 5.
(Zach Dougan/FOX)

Sonny’s nowhere to be seen on this call, but with Em second in command, she could be just filling in for him again. Or he could have taken some time off to deal with his grief following Zion’s passing.

We’ll have to see how things play out for Sonny, but he’s been toeing a dangerous line for quite some time. Now could be the time he’s ready to get help.

Elsewhere during Rescue HI-Surf Season 1 Episode 7, the personal drama is on a hundred, with Hina and Kainalu looking to set some boundaries at their shared residence and Will having to break some news to Em.

Hina and Kainalu haven’t been living together long.

Kainalu provides help on a rescue during Rescue: HI-Surf Season 1 Episode 7.
(Zach Dougan/FOX)

Still, they’re overdue for the inevitable roommate chat about expectations, common courtesy, and how they can make their living space comfortable for each other.

There’s a will-they/won’t-they dynamic between the pair that has tampered off lately, but with Kainalu putting more distance between himself and his father, you have to wonder if the two will start to find some more common ground.

They’re very opposite, but given time to get to know one another better, something may start brewing between them.

What’s not brewing is the relationship between Julie and Em, as Will’s fiancée will let him know she doesn’t want Em at the wedding, which Will has to then relay to his former flame.

Em and Will loos ahead to a busy day during Rescue: HI-Surf Season 1 Episode 5.
(Zach Dougan/FOX)

On the surface, it makes sense not to have your partner’s ex at your wedding, but Will and Em aren’t typical exes.

They are co-workers and still pretty good friends, whether Julie likes it or not.

Now, Em may have never even intended to attend Will’s wedding, but still, there’s no way she won’t feel some way about the perceived snub, especially when many of their mutual friends will most likely be in attendance.

One of those friends is Laka, who will FINALLY get that date with paramedic Jenn.

Laka provides assistance to a victim during Rescue HI-Surf Season 1 Episode 7.
(Zach Dougan/FOX)

He’s been crushing on her since Rescue: HI-Surf Season 1 Episode 1, so it’ll be interesting to see how they get along now that they’re off the clock!

Things continue to heat up on the North Shore, and we’ll be back to review it all for you!

But while you wait, check out the sneak peek below, and let us know in the comments what you’re looking forward to seeing in the episode!

You can watch Rescue HI-Surf on FOX on Mondays at 9/8c.

We scored an exclusive sneak peek of Found Season 2 Episode 5, featuring a tense reunion between Trent and his father. Check it out!

Much of Found Season 2 has been about delving into characters beyond Gabi and Sir.

We’ve seen that a great deal, as the season strongly focuses on Lacey in the present and via flashback.

However, one character we continue to gain unexpected insight into is Detective Mark Trent.

Trent rocks a brown leather jacket.
(Matt Miller/NBC)

If you’ve been following along with our Found coverage, you’ll know how much we’ve enjoyed the season and how passionate we’ve been about the storylines.

And we’re equally excited about sharing an exclusive sneak peek of Found Season 2 Episode 5.

Our exclusive clip features Brett Dalton‘s Trent in a totally new context that piques our interest.

So far, we’ve seen that Trent has been one of the most vocal about Gabi’s misdeeds regarding keeping Sir hostage.

It has severely affected how he views her.

Trent is having a hard time with Gabi.
(Matt Miller/NBC)

It’s apparent that he’s having difficulty balancing his personal feelings, and the subsequent heartbreak of learning a woman he cares about did something so morally questionable for him by working alongside her in a professional capacity on missing-person cases.

In many ways, this came to a head during Found Season 2 Episode 4, which saw Trent show a vested interest in a case that involved a missing couple comprised of a powerful man and his wife, who was a domestic abuse survivor.

We saw how passionate Trent was about this case and how he shoehorned his way into working with M&A despite young Jay’s reluctance to work with the cops.

Eventually, we learned that Trent was passionate about this specific case because of his personal experience with the topic.

Trent stands by Gabi's side as she tries to figure out where Lacey is.
(Matt Miller/NBC)

His sister was in an abusive relationship, and Trent spent some time trying to get her out of it, almost by any means necessary; a dark confession from Trent, who has been so morally righteous since we met him.

And now, we’ll learn even more about Trent as the sophomore season continues to explore his personal and family life.

We already knew that Trent seemingly followed in his father’s footsteps by becoming a cop, and now, we’ll get to meet the senior Trent up close and personal.

And if our sneak peek is any indication, Trent’s relationship with his father is fraught.

Trent and his father have a tense reunion.
(NBC/Screenshot)

Found Season 2 Episode 5 is titled Missing While Presumed Dead and introduces another fascinating case for M&A.

In this instance, we’ll learn that Margaret takes the initiative in reopening a cold case from seven years ago that involved a missing teenage girl.

A mysterious, unidentified four-year-old child suddenly appears, prompting Margaret to reopen this cold case.

The young boy is likely connected to the missing teen from many years ago.

It’s certainly an interesting premise to start the installment and the case, and one has to imagine that after seven years of never solving this one, M&A will bring the heat in an effort to do what law enforcement was unable to do nearly a decade before.

Margaret reopens a cold case.
(Matt Miller/NBC)

With the appearance of Trent’s father, we’re led to believe that if he wasn’t directly involved in this case, he was at least familiar with the lead detective at the time who was.

From our clip, Trent wants to speak to his father about the cop, Hank Edwards, who led the investigation of the missing teen, as Trent’s father was the cop’s T.O. once upon a time.

The implication is that some alcoholism led to shoddy police work, which will cast the law in an unfavorable light as this cold case raises new scrutiny.

In our clip, we get a real sense of the relationship between Mark and James Trent.

Gabi gives a press conference about a cold case.
(Steve Swisher/NBC)

James appears to be a charismatic big-timer who impresses others and is someone other officers look up to and respect.

He also comes across as old-school, as he doesn’t seem to understand why the public may be more critical of law enforcement these days.

Father-son tension is thick between them.

Mark Trent may have always struggled to live up to his father’s expectations and is used to his father’s criticism or passive-aggressive observations.

But if the personal tension between them wasn’t fraught enough, James mentions Gabi as well, which clearly gets under Mark’s skin.

Check out our exclusive sneak peek below!

With Beyond: UFOs and The Unknown, MGM+ wants you to open your mind to possibilities you may never have considered.

If you are already a passenger on the train of the unknown, Beyond: UFOs and The Unknown is must-see TV.

Through four episodes, you’ll be taken on a journey that challenges everything you believe you know with possibilities beyond our current understanding.

(MGM+/Screenshot)

In this clip exclusive to TV Fanatic Tim Gallaudet, an American oceanographer and retired Rear Admiral in the United States Navy, shares his thoughts on the now infamous “go fast” video, which shows something many believe is not of this world.

The issue was met with much urgency, as it jeopardized pilots’ safety of flight.

Due to the possible implications of pilots needing to mitigate the unknown on their own, after reading the report, Gallaudet sent an email to every subordinate commander, bringing the issue to light.

The next morning, the email was wiped from his computer, and it was never spoken of again.

(MGM+/Screenshot)

If that doesn’t raise the hair on the back of your neck, what is revealed in the remainder of the series most certainly will.

Beyond: UFOs and The Unknown brings together experts across many fields to share their theories and thoughts about some of our most cherished “conspiracy theories” involving UFOs, mind control, and life after death.

The most astounding thing is that at the end of the four-episode journey, you might believe that the three are so intertwined as to be the same and most certainly warrant further exploration.

Beyond: UFOs and The Unknown offers much food for thought.

(MGM+/Screenshot)

Some of our most brilliant minds share their thoughts about the unknown.

A renowned American immunologist discusses what he’s uncovered about the brains of pilots who have witnessed unknown phenomena.

UFO abductee and expert Whitley Streiber details the many letters he’s received over the years that make it difficult to explain away what people have experienced.

A neurosurgeon discusses how his understanding of life itself was altered by his own near-death experience.

And a professor of philosophy and religious thought makes such a strong argument for tying all aspects of the unknown together that you, too, may never view life as we know it the same again.

Are you a curious, open-minded explorer who isn’t afraid to dive into the unknown?

Do you have a natural desire to question what we think we know and explore the deeper mysteries of existence — whether it’s UFOs, life after death, or even mind control?

If you’re not content with accepting the surface-level explanations and are instead drawn to the unconventional, always looking for connections and possibilities beyond the mainstream, then you should check out this fascinating new docuseries on MGM+.

Beyond: UFOs and The Unknown premieres on Sunday, October 27, only on MGM+.

Ah-hoo, werewolves of Los Angeles!

It’s Halloween on 9-1-1 Season 8 Episode 5, and with it comes frights, scares, and decorations gone wild?

A lot is happening in the festive installment, which sees a busy night for the 118 when the sun goes down, and the streets get busy, as you’ll see in this sneak peek exclusive to TV Fanatic!

Bobby is the captain on scene for Halloween night during 9-1-1 Season 8 Episode 5.
(Disney/Mike Taing)

Halloween must be a very hectic evening for first responders just due to the sheer number of people out and about. With that many people out at night, there’s bound to be some accidents.

The 118 are all on duty, and they’re busy. The same can be said for Maddie, who’s dealing with all kinds of calls, and Athena, who engages in an interesting traffic stop.

Halloween may be a kid’s holiday, but that doesn’t mean adults can’t join in on the fun.

This short clip clearly shows that the streets of Los Angeles are ACTIVE on Halloween, with grown-ups jumping out to scare other adults and one clown getting stopped at a DUI checkpoint.

Halloween episodes are always a good time, especially if that’s a holiday you enjoy. There’s something oddly comforting about the holiday aimed to bring the frights, as it can take you back to a time when all you worried about was finding the perfect costume and stocking up on the right candy.

The 118 having to work means they’ll be in the thick of things and maybe even trying to have a little fun while out there.

It won’t be all fun and games, though, as evidenced by the promo for this episode, which showed Denny in danger.

Considering the events of 9-1-1 Season 8 Episode 4, I was hoping that the Wilson family would be smooth sailing for a bit, but unfortunately, that does not seem to be the case.

Hen gets a FaceTime in while at work during 9-1-1 Season 8 Episode 5.
(Disney/Ray Mickshaw)

But if there’s one thing we know about the Wilson family, they’re fighters!

Elsewhere during this hour, we’ll also see Buck get more than he bargained for when his Halloween decorations get a little scary. And whatever does that mean?

Well, it means Buck will be in for a spookier Halloween than he could have ever anticipated.

If you’ve been looking forward to returning to 9-1-1 holiday-themed hours, this one will be right up your alley!

The 118 arrives to help on 9-1-1 Season 8 Episode 5.
(Disney/Mike Taing)

When I chatted with Peter Krause earlier this season, he couldn’t tell me much about what was ahead, but he did make sure to express his excitement for this hour in particular, and I must agree with him.

This hour IS a lot of fun!

While you wait for the creeptacular installment, make sure you check out the sneak peek above, and let me know in the comments what you’re excited to see from the hour!

What costumes are you hoping to see?

What kind of wacky calls are you expecting?

What’s your favorite candy?

Have some fun, and come back after the episode as we break down this exciting hour.
